Also, TM expressed her views on Page 7 (do check it out) and from her views it doesn't appear to be that.

aamir khan's movies might be loved... but his real life character is not loved and liked like SRK and Salman in India.. I can feel it. So, it would be stupid to say one is better than the other..

if you like a superstar, like Salman
If you like a bit of both actor and superstar, like Shahrukh

Why should Salman bother if his career sees resurgence with Dabangg? Masses loved it. Many sections of urban audience also watched it. Single screen business got revived. It means a significant section of audience likes it. So what quality? The audience for different content is different. If it doesn't fit your definition of quality, don't watch it.

Aamir has given 3I, PK, Talaash post 2008. Where did he disappoint on quality? Dhoom 3 he did for masses. And masses are important.

SRK did MNIK that overseas audience appreciated. Ra 1, Don 2 disappointed. CE is shit for some but fun entertainer for many.

Be realistic. They have only limited time to hold impact. They are no Rajinikanth. So if they cater to different segments then what's wrong?

It is annoying to you. But they know what they are doing. They entertain as long as they can. Attract audience in various segments.

For other stuff they have next 30-40 years at disposal.

We can argue here but it's evident these films have an audience. Atleast SRK and Aamir line up doesn't look bad.
