Tanu Weds Manu Returns, starring National Award-winning actress Kangana Ranaut and R Madhavan, has has taken a fantastic start at the Box Office today. "Tanu Weds Manu Returns" is a sequel to the director's 2011 hit film "Tanu Weds Manu" with the same star cast. In the sequel, Kangana is seen in a double role as Tanuja "Tanu" Trivedi and Kusum "Datto" Sangwan. Released in 2200 screens across the country, the film has garnered positive reviews from critics. Mumbai- "Tanu Weds Manu Returns" had around 350+ shows in Mumbai. The wide release has helped the film to reach the maximum audience and also to make maximum collection. The film on its first day minted around Rs.5 crores from Mumbai circuit.

Chennai- "Tanu Weds Manu Returns" had around 150+ shows all of Chennai on the first day. As per the official press release from the makers, the Hindi movie has made Rs.70 lacs from the Chennai region. This clearly shows that the Bollywood films has worked big time in Chennai.
