Arey Himani, that kind of nepotism and elitism will obviously never go away...cuz the kind of cinema these two make just doesn't fall under either the typical glamorous type of "feel good" cinema or the gritty/edgy cinema that wins critical acclaim.

Their brand of cinema is the unvarnished truth of middle class society and gender relationships that has VERY VERY few takers for it😆...it's all cloaked with sassy dialogues and good songs but the underlying subtext remains...and that is not everyone's cup of tea...

I hope to god they NEVER conform for the sake of being 'accepted"...I appreciate their cinema for what it is...their sensibilities for being original in thought that way.

yeah I also dont' see Rai and Himanshu making a film without each other any time soon...this is a rare writer-director combo on a golden streak right now...haven't seen the likes of it in a while...most other successful directors write their own films...but this merging of sensibilities is interesting.

Also they seem to have a knack for NURTURING their cast like no other...
