I agree with Dexy, no one really pays attention to height--unless it's women. Most men care about proportions and ratios (it's true even hough it sounds shallow 😆), their eyes be on ass and breasts.

But I agree. For some reason in BW projects this one type of ideal beauty, which is wrong and not true at all. Beauty comes in all forms.

So true 😲 even I felt that way.. I guess that she caries her body off too well and makes it look slender.

Doesnt it work both ways? If short actresses are considered unattractive(though I dont agree), tall actresses are considered manly or at least not fit for conventional heroines... Sushmita, Lara, Nargis Fakhri, even Deepika and Sonam were considered too tall initially. Infact throughout Bollywood history we have women of average height or lesser ruling the roost. Nutan, Asha Parekh, Madhubala , Vaijyanytimala, Mumtaz, Hema, Rekha, Jaya Bhaduri,Sridevi, Madhuri, Juhi, Kajol... all were of average or shorter side.

It is only after 2000 that we have seen a more accomodative attitude towards somewhat taller actresses from modelling /beauty contests like Aishwarya, Bipasha, Anushka,Priyanka,Katrina, Deepika etc. Even then there were many actresses with lesser height like Rani, Preity, Kareena, Vidya, Alia etc who find acceptance. Only thing is that shorter actresses have to maintain their figure , but that goes for taller ones too. No one criticises Kareena or Malaika for their figure, but Sonakshi draws enough flak despite being tall. Even Rani was admired for her figure during Chalte Chalte time.Simple thing is tall or short, your figure should be proportionate to your height. Also I think the average height of girls has increased in last decade or so.
