@IALB: Bingo!!! Jr treats her as a regular woman, one who happens to be excessively beautiful & talented & an I'national icon. He admires it, respects it & is very proud of it but is never in awe of it. On Simi's show years ago right before their engagement, and Simi knew aaall about their r-ship btw b/c she was so not subtly trying to get Ash to say something , anything & Ash was displaying trademark Poker Face; she mentioned that she knows that Jr has a nickname for her & Ash sort of giggled &'confirmed . He calls her "9." 😆 After Vogue's 9th most beautiful woman title. And I LOVED that!!! It's adorable. He's totally adorable. 😆

That story about breaking up via text sounds so familiar to me, I'm wondering if it was part of the rumors pile at the time.

I like Vibek Oberoi ...though don't share the same stardom as Salman...he is indeed a better actor than Salman.

No, I don't think she did. It's the complete opposite of her nature. I think he was referring to other close friends at the time. He called her plastic probably for other reasons. But it's hard to believe someone as private as her would "make" a person share all these intimate details publically.

Btw: I hate when people give Aish this Lady Macbeth caricature. Vivek did this as a gesture to her and she didn't reciprocate it the way he wanted. I think he was a grown man fully aware of the consequences. So can we get past blaming the woman bc his career took a massive hit.

Well I'm not MEB, obviously 😆, but my speculation is that Vivek did the press conference on his own just to show off, impress the girl, and present himself as the heroic brave boyfriend who stood up to big bad bully. Didn't he also say things in the press conference along the lines of how he knows karate and can take Salman on? I don't think he ever expected the whole industry to turn against him. He aired industry's dirty laundry in the public and it wasn't taken very well.


Not very long after he made that statement that he was going to marry Aishwarya rumors started that Ash had broken up with him. But he publicly clung on to "I'm dating Aishwarya" routine for months until Aishwarya showed up as VIP at Jalsa for Abhishek's birthday. Basically when it became obvious that something was going on between Abhi/Ash. Then his story changed and suddenly it was Aishwarya who made him do the press conference, and he started apologizing to Salman. This was also around the time that Salman got arrested and his Mom was hospitalized, so he went to the hospital to visit Salma Khan with the whole freaking media outside to document it. That's why a few pages ago I called him an opportunistic weasel. I think him even showing up at Abhishek's grandmother's funeral was a PR move for himself.

there are times when you don't feel sorry for once abused woman...thats the case with plastic ash.
