Having a clean record, not having to cover up crimes or make rounds of police stations and courts, having enough money, some bit of recognition and stable family and kids are much better than just looks, popularity (and notoriety) across the world and loads of money but forever making rounds of courts, police stations and sending legal notices to even blogs to save oneself.

Vivek: Made a mistake 13 years back. ACCEPTED his mistake .Faced consequences for his mistake.Re-established himself & found stability in life.Grew from his mistakes and moved on.Makes a decent living. Has a HAPPY FAMILY and peace of mind.

Salman: Committed a CRIME 13 years back. Continues to LIE and DENY his CRIME to save his ass.Continues to be the bratty egoistic hot-head that he always is.

Yes, Salman is richer and has a more successful career but it's not like Vivek is a poor hag. He doesn't make as much as Salman but he makes enough money to have a life where he can fulfill the needs of his family and himself. He also has peace of mind which is what we all ultimately strive for. He has a happy family, peace of mind, and a decent amount of money to spend life in PEACE while Salman is still doing rounds of court at the age of 50 without guaranteed freedom in the future ESPECIALLY because he continues to blatantly lie. Some people have it all. Fame, money, looks. But, if you don't have a peace of mind, what's the point?!
