I agree with you.😊

There are comments that indeed do seem to come out of members' rear. Who'd know better?😉

Though what has she opined about country now? She said nothing in this one.

I'm quoting what you quoted to Enycedoll. Read your comments. Read your own comments before jumping on others.

How about applying same advice to yourself?

I said Freida as a celeb had no influence in India, which is a fact. She's not popular or known.

Haha!

Get glasses or read again.

Find me any sentence where I said NRIs should be excluded or limited and I'll quit the site at once. I challenge you!

Even after your previous accusatory topic proven wrong, you're still at it.😆

No one ever said IF for for Indians in India only. You have issues in reading!

Your head must be really fuzzy today? 😆 you literally made a whole thread on diversity and NRI issue. My glasses are pretty clean here. You might to clean yours in polluted India.

From here Wikipedia:

Pinto joined Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf in support of their philanthropic organisation, the "Agassi Foundation". She is the only Indian actress to have participated in their annual fund raiser titled, "The 15th Grand Slam for Children", aimed at raising funds for the education of underprivileged children.[53] In 2012, Pinto joined Plan International's "Because I am a Girl" campaign as Global Ambassador, promoting gender equality to lift millions of girls out of poverty. In 2013, she appeared in a video clip for Gucci's "Chime for Change" campaign to raise funds and awareness of women's issues in terms of education, health, and justice.[54] In April 2013, Pinto collaborated with UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon and World Bank President Jim Yong Kim for the Call to Action - Girl Rising campaign. The documentary film Girl Rising made by Academy Award nominee Richard E. Robbins, showcases the power of education in transforming girls' lives around the globe.[55] In July 2014, Pinto spoke at the Girl Summit in London, where she called for more progress toward the end of female genital mutilation and child marriage.[56]

You are back to what you do best. 😊
Hajmola was right in previous thread.

My thread is not just about that and even admin and other members got that so I don't owe explanation to you.

Why are you so concerned about polluted India? And what are you doing to help? Ranting on IF?😆

ROFL!😆
Quoting Wikipedia doesn't deny the truth that Freida is NOT popular or influential in India.

She can share stage with anyone. But in INDIA, she is not a voice of influence.

Is it that difficult to understand?

Influential or not, obviously people are listening/reading what she says...why do you think majority of the members around here are so BURNED?

Freida is not influential enough to raise awareness.

She means nothing to Indians.

Also you discussed Freida making people face the music, and alleged that people hide issues under carpet - which hints as if no one knew about or discussed issues till Freida ji took them up.

Bringing bit of attention and making people face the music are two entirely different things.

'sweeping under the carpet' figuratively means to 'ignore, keep a secret in an attempt to not deal with it' ...not be aware of it all. you have to be aware to 'sweep' it. She isn't the first to discuss them and won't be the last...but she has done a lot to bring attention to it.

Because of late she has been constantly talking about India only. Though in this one she didn't.
People are "burned" (as you said) over comments on country and not over Freida.
Also IF ones reacting to her, doesn't imply influence in India. Indian print and television media which masses consume, doesn't even cover Freida news.

Therefore whether she speaks on an issue or not, it won't make any difference where it matters.
