Freida Pinto on her Fav Bollywood star and why she would never do indian roles again
Freida Pinto who will be playing the role of a Columbian woman in her Upcoming film Blunt Force Trauma reveals that she's played nearly every other ethnicity, not just seeing herself as a middle class woman from Mumbai.In her Interview to Associated Press, she says, "I think I've singlehandedly offended Palestinians, Iranians, the Arabs, and probably Indians by playing all their roles,"she said .
"As long as I'm not pining to play the Queen of England, which is not my ambition, I think it's perfectly fine to try and find those very versatile, colorblind roles."
"I don't want to play just the Indian women," "Because I don't feel like just the Indian woman. I feel like so much more than that. When I watch movies about women around the world, I relate to all of them. My race and my ethnicity really follow after the acceptance of the fact that I'm human and I'm a woman."
On her Fav Bolly Actress : . From contemporary cinema, Alia Bhatt. She's amazing, she's really funny. She has a great sense of humor. I think there was a thing that happened where she fudged the name of the prime minister of India or something like that on a big talk show, and they said, "Oh, the girl's dumb." So she went out and did a skit on it, about being super dumb (laughs) and I just thought it was great. And she did this film called Highway, and all the songs on that film are just phenomenal.
