So, they sell armaments to militants (sometimes via Saudi) and den sell similar ones to the affected country in name of protection... So while innocent civilians in other developing countries die, US enjoys the riches it made out of their misery. Otherwise where do you think these militants, Jihadis etc get such hi-fi equipment from? If US stops giving it to them, no way ISIS or Taliban or any militant group can sustain... But then how will US economy sustain😆

I know that too. 😆 Its not a laughing matter but US also want to sell its stuff to India directly. But Obama f**ked it off after India visit.

The ralations between.. Us- Israel- Iraq- Iran- Saudi- Afghan- Pakistan is so weird.

Anyhting religion to Oil... very complicated.

But I hav never seen US president lose $60 mil in a casino in one night and laugh at the loss. Yes, they lose their trillions on illegal wars.. 😆

Saudi- the holy place, gurded by the satan US, rulled by the gamblers, so many ppl get killed duing Hajj.. at macca, financing terrorism against US in Afghan and pakistan and western world... and still protected by US. 😆

If we can get to know the truth abt the relationship between US-Israel-Saudi, we will be 🤢

Religion looks like kid's words in this big affairs.

No dear as I had said child marriage is not religion based, it happened during those days because girls used to be more mature. Take any religion, you will come across child marriage.
It is being said that a girl cannot be married off without her consent, and she can be married off when she reaches puberty as in when she has her cycles started because before that she is not considered suitable for marriage.
If a girl say 13 has reached puberty but if she says no to the marriage then it is not permissible to marry her off. It is all based on consent, and because in those days girls used to be mature enough the age for marriage was really young. But it is not a religious practice.

Mature as in body? Means the ratio of childbirth survivors were higher than its today? Or just that in those days too little girls died and no one just cared and no records were kept? It doesn't matter whether its Islam, Hinduism or Buddhism or Christianity.. In the past it was an atrocity that happened to females..

Before her cycle starts line - is cz u can't get pregnant before the cycle starts, so producing the next generation is not possible then. that is the common sense reasoning i guess behind most marriages..

Consent - umm.. can ANY 7, 8, 9 - 14 yr old actually give consent ? Can such a consent be justified? I don't think so.. I have a kiddie cousin sis who is 9, I shudder to think that just some other corner of this world another girl of her age is being asked for consent to marry when just today I was tickling her on a couch as she was watching a cartoon.. Isn't it just wrong in a very human way?

What is wrong I guess is that some Islam countries have made a law out of it which is applicable even in 2015.. Islam alone from the mainstream religions still seems to allow countries which is governed by it to use it to not set a legal age for marriage. Why is that had it not been okay-ed kinda officially?

See, I live in Sri Lanka. If a girl even with her own consent goes(has sex and has clear proof/marries) with a guy before she is 16 the parents/any well wisher just need to call the police and he will be arrested irrespective of his age.. and she will be given back to her parents or if parent care is unsuitable will be put in to care.. and he too will be put in juvenile detention if he is under age..
And if parents get a girl married before age, police will still put the parents in jail and put the child to care.
Its statutory rape here..
That Buddhism and Hinduism (which r the mainstream religions here) having allowed it some thousand years ago just doesn't make our law makers apply that today as its not in the religious texts that its ok.. We don't consider it correct..
It saves most of our little girls.. cz society considers it a crime..

Allowing religion to be used when legislating laws of a country. How does it work then?

Just put religion aside, isn't it just wrong? Even animals in the wild don't defile their young before they r really ready..

Not degrading any religion.. This legalizing of marrying off little girls even when so many of them die bleeding is something that is something really close to my heart.. that is why I am asking..

And thank you very much for replying to me nicely without being offended..

anyway

I'm not very informed on this topic so I'm afraid I'll misinform you. I'll research for sometime and let you know what it actually is. I hope I convince you . I'll PM you if you are interested. 😳

ya I totally agree that even for a young boy child its wrong, but I guess its less spoken about as the chances of ANY religion in the world allowing a boy child to be set in an alliance with an older woman and being taken advantage is not actually happening..

anyway no problem.. i just wanted to ask as I saw this discussion..

As I said earlier it was not religious practice. I am just saying that around 1000/2000 years ago it was accepted, but now that has changed.
Forget 1000 years ago, some of our grandparents were married early. All I am saying is that it is not religious practice and with time age limit has changed and it is 18/21 now. But if still some people don't want to follow that rule and marry their daughters off then I don't know what to say. And age is not mentioned in Quran or Hadith (Prophet's sayings/traditions), so if some Islamic countries misinterpret it and make their own assumption I have again no clue what to say because what Saudi does or other countries does is not my concern. All I know is that living in the UK I cannot be asked to understand how Islamic countries work or why they misuse their religious freedom.
I know the rules of India/UK and if a girl is forced into marriage, Indian Law or UK law will help her.

Keeping religion aside, it is a wrong practice I agree. I am all for marriage above 21, since I feel even 18 is too young. 😊
And I am against the 4 wives concept too, my husband is getting a kick if he even thinks of that😡

China can only rival US in economy dept. In everything else.. therez no contest. Direct "full on war.. mostly air to air." China cant stand against US. and US so many frnds, I dont know hoe many frnds China have? 😆 India, sorry lata ji sang "aye mere vatan ke logo" is last foerver, and nehru MF's "Hindi chini bhai bhai" is already dead. Japan? They wud dump all the nuclear waste on chinese shores. Russia? hahahaha. Pakistan hahahaha.

But I dont think WW3 will happen. The world has realised that this nuclear shit is gonna spread across the world and f**k up the climate which is already f**ked.

Therez another war going on.. US and western world who had their Lion's share of Industrial revolution and polluted the air.. r now trying to putting the breaks on China and India.

There r no cats or monkey here. 😉

As far as I know, a man can practice polygamy ONLY when the wife gives him permission to do so. Otherwise it's illegal in Islam.
Anyway, It only happens in Saudi nowadays. Otherwise, in most Muslim countries polygamy is barely practiced.
