Even days after curtains downed at this credible awards gala held in Mumbai recently, veteran actors and crew members from the film fraternity can't stop bringing up the ignorance of the arrogant young host who's last film collected 100 crore at the box-office.
Apart from getting names wrong of his colleagues (he called someone 'Patrakar'!), he also rubbed veteran actor Seema Pahwa (who won the Best Supporting Actor (Female) for her role in Rajat Kapoor's Ankho Dekhi), the wrong way.
When Seema and Tabu were declared winners for their respective performances in the Best Supporting Actor (Female) category, Seema took longer to get on to the stage to collect her award. Reason being she was seated far away from the front few rows, and hence, had to take a long walk. The haughty host remarked: "If you don't get here within 10 seconds after your name is called out, you will not be presented your award." It left Seema Pahwa red faced, and embarrassed her co-stars and family. Meanwhile, the host went about the evening wearing a sense of accomplishment around his sleeve.
Little does he know that good manners go a long way!
