PK Advance Booking Report for Opening Day.

PK advance booking report is pretty good with still one day still to go. Around 35% tickets are already Sold out with still around 22 hours left for first show to start on. So, advance booking should further increase to the release point. However, advance booking could have been even better than present considering it started on Monday itself. Looks like film will have a little lower opening than other biggies in recent times, may be on par with Kick which had a lower opening because of Pre-Eid factor. However PK ticket prices are hiked and in all likelihood opening day numbers should be higher than Kick for sure, with same occupancy level.
PK is releasing on normal weekend with Friday being a normal working day. Hence, advances are expected to be below than usual Holiday release. Still it is good and expect film to take bumper opening at box office come Friday.

Around 35% tickets are already Sold Out in Delhi. In Gurgaon advance booking is very good with around 55%+ tickets are already Sold out. In Mumbai advance booking for first day is around 30-35%. Places like Kanpur which generally sees lesser advance booking is also reporting around 20-25% advances for day one.

Advance Booking Report of PK for 1st day (Samples) -

Delhi - 35%
Gurgaon - 55%+
Mumbai - 30-35%
Kanpur - 20-25%

So, advance booking of PK suggest film should have an opening of around 60% or so which will take it over 25 crore nett mark for day one and that will be a good start at box office.

PK Advance Booking Report : Multiplexes - Excellent, Single Screens - Good

December 18, 2014 0

Aamir Khan and Rajkumar Hirani's PK which releases tomorrow has recorded excellent advance bookings as far as big cities and premium multiplexes are concerned. Big metros like Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Pune etc.

The advances in the big cities is excellent at multiplexes is good at single screens. The advance at smaller cities and towns is decent to good. The mass circuits like CP Berar, CI, Rajasthan has recorded good advances till now where as Eastern circuits like West Bengal and Odhisa have better advances than most releases of the year but the mass centers like Bihar etc lag behind.

Even in down south the advance booking of PK is pretty good with Nizam and Mysore belt recording good advances whereas in Tamil Nadu and Kerala has average to decent advances till now.

The prices of tickets have been raised at multiplexes ranging from 10-20% all over with morning shows showing biggest increase in prices.

PK movie review: Aamir Khan as PK will steal your heart

PK movie review: Aamir Khan as PK will steal your heart
FONT SIZE

After five years, we finally have Rajkumar Hirani's masterpiece on silver screen through PK and it needs to be mentioned here that the director has taken filmmaking to another level altogether. PK has a depth, which formulates a message that can also be debatable.

Stars- Aamir Khan, Anushka Sharma, Saurabh Shukla, Sanjay Dutt, Sushant Singh Rajput, Boman Irani
Director- Rajkumar Hirani
Music- Shantanu Moitra, Ajay-Atul, Ankit Tiwari and Ram Sampath

The flick slowly pierces a thought into our wits that would remain there for long. We all believe in God and yes there is no question of undermining its power. However, there is a strong condemnation over its presence, which earlier Bollywood movies have made but most of them have been at receiving end.

Here Rajkumar Hirani takes similar subject and treats it in a satirical and amusing mode. Without dissecting the issue, the director effortlessly gives an outcome, which none of us would have ever thought of!

PK movie review

It starts with Jaggu (Anushka Sharma) a journalist student in Bruges, Belguim who after completing her studies comes back to her hometown in India. Here she meets PK (Aamir Khan) who has his own weird techniques to deal with things in society. He is a never seen before any human being and his style of dressing becomes a humorous point of accentuation, his manner of seeing the world is a matter of concern. There are many such unanswered questions by PK which initially become a butt of jokes but on a major scenario it's debatable.

This catches Jaggu's attention and she along with PK goes on to find the answers to these peculiar questions. Who is PK, what is his puzzle and why Jaggu finds it interesting? Find it all in this Rajkumar Hirani directorial.

PK movie review

Now while its storyline is fascinating, PK has ample surprises which unfold layer by layer remarkably. But one thing, which needs to be made clear is that PK is not a out an out comedy-caper as its trailer and songs have hinted towards yet carrying the same thought-process while stepping into the theatres won't disappoint you. While there is a serious subject Rajkumar Hirani is dealing with and his ways of presenting the entire issue turns out to be humorous.

It all goes side by side or rather say there is a parallel journey throughout. With dialogues by Abhijaat Joshi and Rajkumar Hirani himself the narration becomes more gripping and entertaining particularly with Aamir Khan's Bhojpuri dialect. We won't reveal as to how the language is inserted in the flick but we tell you it's an interesting part to know.

While the narration in the movie is water-tight, the performance of the actors seems to be fantastic. There is no way, a movie is fake and pale, when we have Boman Irani who is hailed in all Hirani's films or National Award winning Saurabh Shukla.

PK movie review

Saurabh is playing the role of a self-styled Godman and the director never misses a chance to take a dig and intentionally mock such real-life characters spread across the society.

Boman Irani's short appearance in the movie is crucial but it provides an essential link to the events happening around. Sanjay Dutt's cameo is too delightful.

Sushant Singh Rajput, is wrapped up in the first half. We wish, Hirani could've used more of him.

Anushka Sharma as a curious journalist is great while her friendly chemistry with Aamir Khan is amusing and captivating.

And do we need to mention that Aamir Khan is the show-stealer? The actor masterfully and magnificently delivers a tough act in the flick. More than his words it's his expressions, which add volume. There is a big surprise around his character, which is cleverly written and wonderfully performed.

Music by Shantanu Moitra, Ajay-Atul, Ankit Tiwari and Ram Sampath plays important part in the movie which is beautiful. The background score is finely jelled with frames while songs which might not have received much attention till now will stay in your wits after you step out of theatres.

Chaar Kadam by Shaan in our favorite from the album.

PK Movie Review: Aamir Khan's Best Performance Till Date

Woohoo... PK is finally here and boy was I excited to watch this masterpiece on the big screen. After five years of sheer hard-work Rajkumar Hirani presented us with yet another cinematic brilliance, PK. 80% of the credit goes to the director for spinning this innovative concept into such an entertaining movie.

The movie has it all, a good plot, script, depth; an out of the box film with a strong message.

Cast: Aamir Khan, Anushka Sharma, Sanjay Dutt, Sushant Singh Rajput, Boman Irani, Saurabh Shukla
Director: Rajkumar Hirani

Plot:

Much had been debated about the film's plot. Is PK an astronaut, is he an alien or is he a con artist? What is PK movie all about? Much till the screening of the film, the plot had not been revealed, so this may come as a surprise to you, but PK is not an out and out comedy film like how it has been portrayed till date.

The film has a lot of hilarious and fun moments but the hidden social message is what PK is all about. In a way you can say the movie is a satire on God and God fearing men. But it is unlike any typical Bollywood movie based on the same concept as Hirani has ensured to provide us with utmost entertaining experience with this movie.

The plot of the movie starts with Jaggu (Anushka Sharma), a journalism student in Bruges, Belgium. After finishing her studies, she decides to return to her hometown in India where she comes across PK (Aamir Khan), a unique and peculiar boy who is fascinated with the many things that happen in our society for he has never seen another human being in his life. His wacky dressing sense and lifestyle is a result of his philosophies, like "There is an ATM on every bridge" or "In every isolated area is a clothing store, wear whatever you like".

PK is different and as a result has several questions in his mind which happen to intrigue Jaggu as well. Both of them set out on this journey to find the answers to all his questions, which forms the crux of the story.

Now to know what roles Sushant Singh Rajput, Sanjay Dutt, Boman Irani and Saurabh Shukla play and to know what relation they have with "Namuna or Sample", as Jaggu lovingly calls PK, you have to go watch the movie buddy!

Performances:

I know I am just stating the obvious but Aamir Khan does steal the show with his tube-light eyes and saucer ears, his funny Bhojpuri accent and his weird character that stands out in the film. There are truly no words to describe his performance and like his daughter and Sachin Tendulkar said, this is his best performance till date.

Anushka Sharma too has essayed her charismatic but cute journalist role well. Her love chemistry with Sushant and friendly chemistry with Aamir has been balanced really well.

Boman has a short and sweet role which he has done justice too, even Sanjay Dutt's guest appearance is worth the watch but we don't approve of Sushant's short role in the movie and yearn for the opportunity to see him more.

Technical Aspects:

The story-line of the movie is captivating and there is not a dull moment in the span of 2 hours and 33 minutes. Hirani sneaks upon on you through plenty surprising moments.

The music has been composed by Shantanu Moitra, Ajay-Atul, Ankit Tiwari and Ram Sampath, who have all done a brilliant job with the songs, they stay on your mind and are in perfect sync with the story-line.

The dialogues by Abhijaat Joshi and Rajkumar Hirani are funny and entertaining too. The crisp narration keeps us engrossed in the movie. All in all there is not much to complain about but a whole lot of aspects to praise.

Verdict:

PK movie is all that you anticipated, a paisa-vasool entertaining movie that will enthrall you for sure. PK is a must and should theater watch, so book you tickets soon and catch the movie on the big screen.
