The reviews that have come so far have been terrific. Almost everyone is rating it 4 and above. I am yet to see a negative one. But then I am just reading the ratings. Dont want a spoiler.😆

"Another Masterpiece to be preserved forever"

Hardcore Raju Hirani fans had to wait almost 5 long years to witness another master piece of his work. With his latest flick pk' , Raju Hirani has taken direction into next level altogether. Hirani never left his trademark humour in the flick,along with some logics and depth.

Story:

Movie starts with Jaggu (Anushka Sharma) a journalist student in Bruges, Belguim who after completing her studies comes back to her home-town in India. Here she meets PK (Aamir Khan) who has his own weird techniques to deal with things in society. He is a never seen before any human being and his style of dressing becomes a humorous point of accentuation, his manner of seeing the world is a matter of concern. There are many such unanswered questions by PK which initially become a butt of jokes but on a major scenario it's debatable.

Naturally , everyone ignores pk' for his weird nature,but it catches Jaggu's attention. She finds pk' is a unique person with ultimate intelligence. Hence she decides to travel with PK goes on to find the answers to these peculiar questions. Who is PK, what is his puzzle and why Jaggu finds it interesting? forms the rest of the story.

Analysis:

Like all his previous film, Raj Kumar Hirani not only tickled the funny bones of the audience with his gentle humour in the subject, but also he injects though provoking logics into our brains with PK. We all believe in God and yes there is no question of undermining its power. However, there is a strong condemnation over its presence, which earlier Bollywood movies have made but most of them have been at receiving end.

Here Rajkumar Hirani takes similar subject and treats it in a satirical and amusing mode. Without dissecting the issue, the director effortlessly gives an outcome, which none of us would have ever thought of!

Definitely, the basic storyline of PK is fascinating,with full of surprises which are revealed one by one in the run. But one thing, which needs to be made clear is that PK is not a out an out comedy-caper as its trailer and songs have hinted towards yet carrying the same thought-process while stepping into the theatres won't disappoint you.

It all goes side by side or rather say there is a parallel journey throughout. With dialogues by Abhijaat Joshi and Rajkumar Hirani himself the narration becomes more gripping and entertaining particularly with Aamir Khan's Bhojpuri dialect.

Performances:

With all the stalwarts like National award winning actor Saurabh Shukla, Bomani Irani.. PK will never bore you at any point of time. They both have absolutely nailed with their matchless performances.

Saurabh is playing the role of a self-styled God-man and the director never misses a chance to take a dig and intentionally mock such real-life characters spread across the society.

Boman Irani's short appearance in the movie is crucial but it provides an essential link to the events happening around. Sanjay Dutt's cameo is too delightful.

Sushant Singh Rajput, is wrapped up in the first half. We wish, Hirani could've used more of him.

Anushka Sharma as a curious journalist is great while her friendly chemistry with Aamir Khan is amusing and captivating.

Last but not the least, Aamir Khan is simply outstanding. Not only with his action, but also with his unique expressions, Aamir has won the hearts of the audience gracefully. The actor masterfully and magnificently delivers a tough act in the flick. There is a big surprise around his character, which is cleverly written and wonderfully performed.

Technical Aspects:

Music by Shantanu Moitra, Ajay-Atul, Ankit Tiwari and Ram Sampath needs a special mention here. In fact, music plays important part in the movie which is not only beautiful but also has elevated the moods of the scenes. The background score is finely jelled with frames while songs which might not have received much attention till now will stay in your wits after you step out of theatres.Chaar Kadam by Shaan is pick of the album,we can say.

-Cinematography by CK Muraleedharan is stunning.

-Costume designers Manoshi Nath and Rushi Sharma have added extra volume to the flick, who made especially Aamir Khan look different through out the flick.

-Production Values are at par.

Strengths:

-Aamir Khan's extra ordinary acting

-Saurabh Shukla and Bomani irani's roles

-Sanjay Dutt's cameo is entertaining

-Screenplay is gripping

-Music is the biggest asset

-Cinematography is another biggest strength for the film.

Weaknesses:

-Nothing in particular to mention.

Final Verdict:

Just do not ask the review anyone, go and watch it. Its worth wait of five long years for a flick by Raj Kumar Hirani. If you miss it, you are missing a masterpiece for sure.
