But yeah, YRF has a lot of rethinking to do. They've had a bad bad year like a few years ago. Their upcoming projects are all toss ups or outright flops...though they'll never truly be out of business. They make money from their studios as it was said in one of the KD threads.

I am not saying its a bad thing. 😆Just saying it wont be a huge commercial success like YJHD was for Dharma. Actually apart from DBB all the other YRF films releasing in the future sound meh. They might recover with next installment of Dhoom or Salman's films but both wont happen before 2016 atleast.

Didn't they have financial problems after a string of flops? Heard Rab Ne bana Di Jodi settled that.

They are one of the worst studios in India. All their movies have Punjabi actors or people who know someone and someone. They aren't creative. I dislike majority of their films.

They've surely lost their touch for sure, I don't enjoy their movies anymore - even their so called huge successful movies like Dhoom 3 leave more to be desired.

Their strongest phase started in 2002... With Saathiya after that came, Hum Tum, Dhoom, Salam Namaste, Veer Zara, Bunty Aur Babli, Fanaa, Dhoom 2 (2006) - these four years were the best. Just look at the movies above and compare it to their current failures like KD, DEI - such a huge difference and downward spiral

After that they went downhill and produced a whole barrage of crappy films... I only have liked BBB after 2006!

The company needs a major reboot and reinvention strategy. They should take a 1 year break and figure things out

I won't rule them out. I think their films are still making a marginal profit margin to stay afloat. One success can change the story.

Haha I know...but I am just saying that it is probably their best project on paper atm. 😆 I guess by YJHD, NC meant a film that will increase their market standing..perhaps not with the kind of money it will make, but help improve their reputation.

Fan is such a toss-up. Rest will just flop. Maybe the film with Sallu will make money but w/ the director, I doubt it's going to be worth watching.
