It will do very good at the box office...My 1st impression abt a movie is right most of the times...

You dont feel its 3 hours long...even if u feel the length...u r bound to laugh ur ass off!!...Not a single dull moment!!

The climax dance was seeti worthy!!

I cannot wait. And the reviews aren't bad either.

one hour...

Just back from Happy New Year.Had a blast.This is the biggest entertainer of the year so far .Proves the adage 'Never Judge a book by its cover' so right .What was shown in the promo was just the tip of ice-berg.The actual movie is a roller coaster ride that puts constant smile on your face .Director Farah Khan has reedemed herself after the disaster that was TMK .Her sensibilities work perfectly in a film like this where everything is larger than life and over the top .The film is a treat if you like commercial cinemas that entertain .

The film immediately catches your attention with breath taking visuals of Dubai .It moves into flashback zone immediately and what follows is a madcap ride .Every character has been given an equal footage which is why the film works so well .The comic portions especially are a total delight to watch .The spoofs that have been incorporated are quite entertaing .The film definitely brings back memories of OSO in this regard .Also it has been mounted on a big scale and its a visual treat.Farah has made sure there is seldom a boring moment .The pace is quite fast despite the 3 hour run time .In fact I enjoyed the film so much that I did not want it to end!The drama reaches its zenith in the climax especially the heist portions are quite well excuted .

Another reason the film works so well is the casting .Every one perfectly fits their part .SRK looks fresh and gives a smashing performance .Very few actors manage to charm you the way he does .Its a treat watching him after so long .Watching an SRK starrer has always been an event for me and this film is no different .A true super star he owns the screen completely.Deepika looks breathtakingly gorgeous but thankfully its not a flowerpot role .She has a late entry but completely radiates the screen with her screen presence.Her comic timing is first rate and she brings the house down with her faulty English .Her chemistry with SRK is fantastic as usual .They look magical together.

Abhishek Bachchan has a double role and makes a rock soild impression .He brings the house down with his goofy act .Truly an under rated actor .Sonu Sood is good .Boman Irani is fab.Vivan Shah is cute .He slowly wins you over.

On the flip side ,musically the film is not as strong .Barring Manwa ,the rest of the songs are strictly passable.Also there are some scenes where the film needed a sharp editing .Too much time has been devoted to these portions for example the initial fight in the disco goes on and on .Ditto for the clash in the rooftop .

Like all Farah Khan films ,this one has moments which alone are worth the price of admission.Some of my favs are

-The introduction of SRK is fab .His reference to Devdas in particular is hilarious .

-Sonu Sood's introduction where he blasts the wrong bomb .

-SRK insulting Deepika when she first enters the training hall.

-Abhishek dropping his pants to reach the required level.

-The entire dance portions are a laugh riot.

-The Heist portions are pulse pounding .My heart started beating so fast when Boman and SRK are inside the vault with just one minute left .But there is a twist at this point too .

-SRK blackmailing the judges .Too funny.,

-The end song ...Hilariious ..

Overall ,a fun filled ride that works big time .A faboulous entertainer that has something for everyone .A perfect entertainer for Diwali .
