Karan's one sided love for Tulsi

In S1 as far as I remember it was Karan who was doing all the sacrifices for Tulsi even though he didn't had any obligation towards Tulsi. Be it sacrificing his love or taking stand for Tulsi when the whole family used to go against her. I don't remember Tulsi doing anything special for Karan. Am I missing something?

She apologized to karan, for not understanding his love for nandini post killing ansh and stood for karan nandini to get together when the entire family was against her.

Also when Aditya Gujral was murdered, at one point karan was in jail too. She tried to save him. I guess then Mihir, went to prison. Vague memory!

I have always felt the same. It always seemed as if Karan is the dominant one in the relationship.

After learning the truth of Ansh, Tulsi would have anyways supported Karan Nandini marriage even if Karan had been an outsider.

Yeah Karan gave Tulsi the supreme place in his life even above Nandini although it was not like the he was brought up by her. Infact Tulsi used his love to make him do things that he won't have otherwise done like marrying Tanya.I don't even remember if Tulsi ever cooked even his favourite dish.

Actually Tulsi loved Karan more than her own kids after entire Ansh Kaand...When Ansh tried to slap Tulsi Karan became her shield that is when she noticed Karan's love for her...she apologized and all but to give an example of her reciprocation ....when Nands killed Gujral and karan took blame...Tulsi didn't believe and stated he is lying to protect someone. She doubted Mihir and Gautam and she was ready to send them to jail to bring out Karan...though if we consider that Tulsi always stands for justice you can see that she didn't believe Karan when he himself proclaimed that he killed gujral. This shows her love and trust.

She entrusted SN to karan though Gautam and Sahil were present when she left SN after the kaand of giving mercy death to her MIL. Why didn't tulsi trust her own son gautam or sahil whom she raised from his childhood...may be she trusted Karan more than others..trust and love both are connected deeply with each other.

and now coming back Tulsi showering love on karan...we never saw Tulsi explicitly showering love on her kids... it was through her actions that one could notice her love for her kids, for gautam she turned him into a good person, she stood with Ganga and Sahil when they were in love and with Karan she she had a different equation all together. She trusted him more than anyone and she leaned on him for support which she never did with her other kids. She found solace in Karan's support which she herself admitted in one of episode...these actions prove that she held Karan high compared to her other kids...there is no need to explicitly call she loved her kids...her actions were enough...she trusted and supported karan a lot and she loved him a lot too compared to other which was subtly weaved into story.

Moreover when Juhi came to SN and when she was exposed, she admitted reading Tulsi's diary which mentioned that her fav son is Karan. In one epi Karan himself admits that everyone says he is her Fav son. Without some partiality towards Karan no one wud call him her fav son...so Karan being her fav son , or Tulsi loving Karan more was established subtly in narrative

abt fav dish, she didn't cook for any of her kid explicitly ....but I do remember a epi where he was eating green peas and she playfully scolded him stating its bad for health or something...then she asked his fav food and he said he doesn't like spicy food...she went to kitchen and subtly said to everyone that bacche aajkal theeka khaana nahi khaate isliye kam theeka banate hai something like that...this was in initial episodes when karan decided to stay back at virani's after Mandira's truth was out.

Only for tulsi's sake karan sacrificed his love nandini for monster ansh but tulsi misunderstood karan , she kicked out karan from sn . Everytime karan does something good tulsi takes the credit for it by saying my son this n that but when she thinks he did something bad then she brings up his past n goes on saying mandir's son this & that . For karan tulsi is his God, he blindly has believed tulsi always.

From what I remember, when karan came in, he always felt alone and neglected. Mandira was acting like a mentally challenged person, mihir never accepted him. Even damini broke up with him.

When tulsi accepted him, and got him to Shanti niketan, he found a secure base and hence karan respected her. It was through Tulsi's acceptance he got Mihir's backing too.

From serials casting perspective, ronit was busy with two shows, so effectively karan was the ml, and was shown in positive light after his initial drama.
