@Bandwagoner: Thank you for digging those up albeit it was not necessary since I never said he won all the polls. My issue is with comments that put him on a pedestal May that be in a thread or a poll centric thread. Comments not numbers. Who knows who voted for whom. Individual votes aren't visible to us but the comments are.

I also don't see why people are trying to disprove what I have witnessed. It's just an observation which other people seem to have noticed as well. So clearly, I am not the odd one out here. 😆

the fact that each actor is compared to ranbir after giving decent/good performances says all😆

But all fandoms overhype their favorite actor right? Honestly i think Ranbir is a great actor but i have no issue with ppl thinking he sucks..Its also true that when a film is critically acclaimed/ does well, that particular actor becomes the flavor of the season..If BV does extremely well, i know the same will happen with Ranbir too..Almost all fandoms gush about their favorite actor's acting skills/ BO power..And no one is expected to agree tbh..Your opinion that he is overhyped is as valid as say my opinion that Ranbir deserves all the praise..So i don get why ppl feel his fans shove him down ppl's throat 😆 No offence..Am not contesting your opinion at all..Since i am a Ranbir fan, i thought i'l add my two cents anyway :)

Shahid has literally ran away with this poll!

Said it as an unpopular opinion that IMO Shahid is better than Ranbir, though I like Ranbir as an actor. Both are much much better than the Khans anyways.

We've reached a full circle here- back in 2009 it was Shahid who was hyped for Kaminey and considered better than Ranbir and the contender to the Khans. Then came Rocket Singh/WUS and since then Ranbir's position cemented as one of the best actors, till Besharam happened that is (he so can't pull off the tapori act as well as Aamir)

For me it was YJHD that showed some cracks in his ability, his acting was reminiscent of BAH in that, he has trouble with these flamboyant roles and by his admission he found it more difficult than a Rockstar/Barfi.
While I liked his performance on the whole in Rockstar, esp second half he made too much of conscious effort to appear innocent (before the transformation as Jordan happens), in fact one of my friends thought he was playing an autistic character as Janardhan Jhaker, so true when you look back at it again.

Shahid on the other hand has had fewer superlative performances than Ranbir but also has less bad performances than him to his credit, you can owe his under-utilsed filmography to bad choices/lack of quality offers. So its hard to discern who's better, I'd say they're on par.

This is probably the most votes Shahid ever got on IF 😆

Shahid, Ranbir and Ranveer are my three favourites from this generation until now. They have their strengths and weaknesses. All three are overhyped but they are all we have when you consider acting 😆. Haven't watched a movie of Susu.

My current grading is like this:

Natural actor- Shahid>Ranbir>Ranveer

Versatility (role range)- Ranveer>Shahid>Ranbir

Script sense- Ranbir>Ranveer>Shahid
