Shahid v Ranbir: the better actor? - Page 11

I choose Ranbir because he debuts late but having more or less ability as senior Shahid. Anyway both talented. I watched Mausam thrice 😆. Even sleeping pills but some moments, I could connect..Especially in Scotland one 😳.

Its Shahid all the way for me😊. He had started really young in IShq Vishq and the whole journey to a movie like Haider has been commendable (I found him cute even in the album "Ankhon mein tera hi sapna"😳). And yes, he has always been praised for his acting skills, even if his movies have been duds at BO.

I liked ishq vishk but I was small that time but I became shahid fan after watching Vivah & uske baad I watched all his movies in theater even mausam & paathshala😆😆

I think both SK & RK are gud but I prefer shahid (Now u will say coz I m his fan but uska fan bhi uski movies dekh kar hi toh koi bana hoga😆)

He is gud actor but he lacks good script sense usme indeed Ranbir is better
He is versatile & luks for challenge and I like tht
He is better dancer

He indeed debuted b4 but he came at young age coz he knew no big director will launch him nor his dad will send him in esteem acting institute in foreign countries.. He faced rejection & after so much of struggle signed a movie with a new director & cast. Ishq vishk became hit and it was his gud luck coz nobody would have given him another chance.. But in case of Ranbir it was not the case. He debuted in year when debutantes were accepted with open arm (thn agn he had big surname attached to him), he got more time to prepare himself

I liked RK in Barfi, YJHD & Rockstar even Rajneeti but thn agn I loved shahid in Vivah, JWM, Kaminey, Haider (In movies like Mausam, Paathshala, Fida, Badmaash Company etc his acting was gud even though it lacked gud script)

Ppl accusing tht Shahid is just director's actor thn let me tell u whn he did JWM wid Imtiaz, imtiaz was not a renowned director. In fact I only loved 2 movies of Imtiaz -JWM & Rockstar.. So evn if SK is giving hits with gud director so is RK
He did Barfi wid Anurag, Rajneeti wid Prakash Jha etc..

PS- Frankly I found PC role more challenging than Ranbir in Barfi😳

VOTED for Shahid & Shahid always had loyal fan base even whn his movies were not working and nobody can deny that. It is just tht his fans without being biased praised only is gud movies.. I am his fan but I never fought for his stupid movie but Haider was indeed worth praising even if u are not his fan and I loved it to the core and even with flop movies he has tremendous fan base only if he sign gud movies he can work wonders at box office (Baki young stars k itni flops ho toh unhe BB bye bye karde and SK time debut karne wale logo ko toh BB nai darwaza dikhaya bhi hai😆😆)

You can't really blame the fans that like to gloat though..they aren't the ones that create these polls with so and so vs Ranbir. And, if you've noticed..it's always x, y, z vs Ranbir when it comes to the younger lot. He's apparently the benchmark around here.

Obviously, comparing Ranbir to ARK and Sid is a little too premature. I get that. My problem
is with the fact that "these people that gloat" consider it a total sacrilege even when Ranbir is compared to Aamir, Shahid who btw have proven their mettle so the comparison is not unfair. Have. seen. Quite a few polls/threads that shows this. Hence, my first response. Again, it's fine to consider Ranbir a benchmark for this generation. He is a pretty decent actor. However, why put him up on a pedestal to such a great degree. His stardom may not be overrated but his acting skills is definitely over hyped on this forum. Just because it is subtle does not mean it is non-existent. I also don't think critics of his acting outrun those that praise him, here. Not at all. Ranbir gets a lot of flak for his personal life, I will bite. But barely anyone criticizes his acting. Not that anyone should for baseless reasons. But if people want to, they should feel free to. Anyway, Now they have started to, before it seemed people were almost afraid to voice their opinion on his acting, lest they be judged and mocked. That is the impression I got anyway.
