BollywoodLife recently put forth the poster of the film for its viewers. We are happy to present the trailer of the film! With Saif Ali Khan, Govinda, Ileana D'cruz, Kalki Koechlin and Ranvir Shorey as the star cast, one is bound to be left in splits no doubt. Here are 3 reasons as to why we love the trailer of the film:Playing it Saif
Saif Ali Khan is one of the finest actors in the industry and yet his recent projects haven't quite hit the mark, Humshakals being one of the many examples. As seen in the trailer, Saif is at his quirky best and shares a fun camaraderie with co-star Ileana D'cruz. Its a fresh pair and we are delighted to see the same. We hope Saif gets hisHappy Ending with this film!
Chi Chi has entered the building
Seeing Govinda on screen reminds us of how badly we have missed the actor! We have already caught the actor's quirky stints in his upcoming film Kill Dil starring Ranveer Singh. The Hero No. 1fame is all set to tickle our funny bone with his act in Happy Ending, as seen in the trailer . We bet you will agree with us on the same!
The cameo scenario
Kareena Kapoor had earlier confirmed that she will be seen in a cameo for her hubby's film and boy are we glad to catch Bebo at her stylish best in the trailer! What's even better is the presence of Preity Zinta in the film who will be seen in a cameo as well. Bebo and Preity haven't particularly shared a great bond in the past so it would be interesting to see what they bring to their respective roles in this funny venture!

"Do Char kissing scene bhi dalde na picture mein... Youthwalo ko mazaa aana chahiye..."
"Doodhwalo ko?"
"Doodhwalo ko nahi youthawalo ko... Chai nahi picture bana raha hun main."
I don't think I've actually LOLed whilst watching a trailer in a while. That is, until I saw the trailer of this film, Saif Ali Khan's Happy Ending.
I don't have any issues with comedies that have that extra bit of innuendo provided it's executed tastefully. Happy Ending looks like it falls into that category it seems, and is hopefully not as tacky and crass like Saif's last Sajid Khan disaster, Humshakals.
The trailer of Happy Ending is replete with tongue in cheek humour and promises to be a laugh riot from start to finish.
The film revolves around Saif's character, Yudi, a bit of a ladies man (Saif's forte) and an out of work writer resting on the laurels of his last book, and how his life gets screwed' when he's approached to write a script for a Bollywood superstar (Govinda, who seems to be making a comeback with this and Kill Dil, and is clearly in spectacular form), who believes in rehashing Hollywood scripts for box office success.
"First half, Meet Parents, second half, Meet F*ckers, job done, silver jubilee..."
ROFL!
Iluminati Films have always brought us films that are a little out of the box albeit with varying degrees of success. They're on the right track with Happy Ending though, if its trailer is anything to go by. It looks like cheeky, self deprecating, satirical comedy gold, and seems to boast of quite the ensemble cast, most of whom seem like they're having a blast and in fine form.
Official Synopsis
A hard core commitment phobe, running away from all the 'I Love You's best describes Yudi. He may not have a problem with the phrase but the after effects of it are too much for him to handle. An author in his late 30s, he's suave, sophisticated and is enjoying his life whilst avoiding any kind of sticky love situations. His claim to fame being a single book written by him years ago which was an instant hit . He hasn't managed to pen anything in many years since then as he doesn't have to . He's got everything that he always wanted - fame, money and girls! Why exert yourself when you have everything you need?
Especially not like his friend Montu , who fell in love with one woman & married her and then became an 'oops father'. Why tie yourself down to one woman when you have the buffet at your disposal!
Yudi thanks his lucky stars every time he thinks otherwise.
Sounds like a 'Happy Ending' to us... But don't get carried away, it's just the beginning! Yudi's happy life is about to encounter a speed breaker as he's out of both money and luck.
To make matters worse his ex-girlfriend who thinks she still is his girlfriend has him on a tight leash while he's also trying to compete with Aanchal, a famous and talented love story writer. His only salvation comes in the form of his agent who gets him a gig to write a script for an upcoming Bollywood comedy. And the hero in this film? Action star extraordinaire Armaan who is looking to reinvent himself as a lover boy and has enough help from every famous cosmetic surgeon in the world.
So with such odds against him, what happens to Yudi ? Does love or a 'Happy Ending' exist at all?? Does he get his happy ending after all? HAPPY ENDING the baap of all romantic comedies which mocks love stories by pointing a finger at love, puts all romantic comedies to shame.
The film is directed by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna D.K. (of Go Goa Gone fame), stars Ileana D'Cruz, Kalki Koechlin, Ranvir Shorey and Preity Zinta and Kareena Kapoor Khan in cameos as Yudi's ex lovers, and hits theatres 21 November.
It's one of the few films I'm looking forward to over the next few months. Are you?
