If Maddock had spent 9 crore on making, I'm sure Maddock sold this movie to Fox at 30 crore. Add promotion cost 10 - 12 crore with it. So, Fox need to make 40 crore to recover money. Fox can easily make 40 crore from this movie.
Why 30 crore? As Deepika didn't take a penny.. is sharing profit.. so they need to sell this at at least Rs. 30 crore so that they can pay Deepika 1/3rd of the profit.
30 Crore - Making charge 9 crore = 21 crore profit.
So, Deepika would get 7 crore (1/3rd of the profit)

This is just the start let the film run a few days, it still got time but the opening is disappointing compared to the heavy huge promotions happening for the film!
and the excuses are really hilarious now even saying priyanka is a bigger star even going ahead and saying barfi had chartbuster music.
The truth is finding fanny is one of the biggest promoted films ever, it has got as much promotions as a Khan film gets, promoted on all shows, done city tours, done interviews, appeared on magazines, the production team the actors the director and his friends all have been going crazy promoting it on twitter and Facebook.
I won't be surprised if the promotions has cost them more than the actual budget of the production of the film. So this film has been really promoted and it can only do well because it has been hyped to the skies and promoted everywhere if it fails then it will be only because it's not a good product.
it's hilarious though to see how the same DP fans who these last few days has been putting this film on a pedestal and stating this will be DP' s year and bashed the line up of other actresses films are now creating several excuses for the opening, someone should show them the comments they made about finding fanny few days back 😆

how idiotic the producers can get to release in 800 screens in english and 100 in hindi. they should have done the opposite, no? 😲
Ask Katrina to step outside her comfort zone and do such a different movie without a Khan. Then we will know who is the actual phase.😆Originally posted by: Skuxx-Deluxx
Deepika is no Katrina😆Deepika is a lil phase that will never ever have Bebo or Katrina type run

As per trade articles 800 screens for English and 100 for Hindi dubbed version. The big difference is a big reason for it being considered an english film mainly. The hindi dub can dilute the effect that can be their reason for putting up less for the dubbed version. Film is any way targeted at a section that goes for plexes for hollywood, rom-coms and offbeat hindi films. It depends on them if they reject it then it'll be a big failure.
I don't know every single Deepika fan can't answer that but the young fans and hardcore ones probably will.
😕
@ bold: You are right.
Hindi dubbed one is doing poor business, anyway (According to the report posted on page one)
@ green: Young-college-going ones are the main theater going audience in India. So, the loyal fans would watch it. If not FDFS then on weekdays. So, the movie is expected to make a decent sum.
no chance for hit if this is true ...Originally posted by: KhanSinghTomar

That'd mean a semi-hit at max, i guess.
Nett means gross collection minus tax. A sizable chunk goes to theater owners hence we don't see some films being declared hit though nett collection overtakes budget,
Queen had 15 cr budget but only got HIT status despite 60 cr nett.
