Yup Patriotic dramas always work with the public,even if not commercially, everyone loves a patriotic theme. Though I dont think Swades is patriotic per se ( yes he came back to India but nothing else). Chak De India definitely. Haven't seen Dil Se. Yeah Border, Gadar etc worked ( and are loved) too cos of its patriotic theme.

Why don't we just make a list of all great just Aamir Khan movies(Like Ghajini /Fanah perhaps) where just he got the praise? Then you might just understand the importance of ensemble cast.😆

Facts are facts.

Bachchan era represented frustrations of common man of those times. This is why he is iconic. There are reasons why theses are written on those films and not usual action films before and after it. He did Abhimaan, Mili, Namak Haraam, Do Anjane, Main Azaad hoon, Silsila, Kabhi Kabhie, Roti Kapda aur makaan, Anand, Alaap, Saudagar too and none of these are action films only.

You are perhaps used to picking 4 films put of 30 films done by an actor who works seasonally. Hence do not want to sieve through massive filmography of others.

But problem is with "old is trash".

Aamir is the best among his contemporaries in Bollywood. Not all time best as your title seems to suggest.

I think you have a hard time understanding the jist of this topic. Its all opinions. Top 10 films are not facts. Only box office numbers are facts. Everything else is opinion. Your films are also 'I believe', not FACTS.

Yes, you're right. I do have a hard time going through piles and piles of Garbage that is Bachchan's filmography before coming across something decent. I am used to a certain consistency. Spoiled, maybe.

Old is Gold, for you atleast.

Ranbir isn't as good as the Khan's. Khan's aren't as good as Bachchan. Bachchan isn't as good as Dilip Kumar. And so on. There's a pattern here but its a flawed one.

Its all these characters along with Aamir which made these movies your favorite. So why are you just crediting Aamir and asking ppl to beat this list of yours.

Cos for me atleast I remember each and every character who played part in these good movies and it isn't just Aamir's movies. 3I was as much Madhavans and Joshi's movie. DCH was as much Akshaye and Saif's movie. RDB was as much Sid,or Karan or Joshi movie. Definitely its also Aamir's movies cos he is the biggest star amongst them but still its a great ensemble movie for me.

Almost all of Big B's listed films are multi-starrers too. Infact, he played second fiddle in quite a few of them.
