You asked for 10, I gave 15/16. These are no means my top 10 faves, I am heavily biased towards the Nargis/Raj Kapoor ones and will readily agree they are not his greatest. This list includes comedy, drama, romance, action, social issues, period films

I chose these films though because in all these he has acted, produced some, directed some, singer (Dil Ki Rani). I think he even edited some. Some are national award winning films, some went to Cannes and were nominated for the Palme D'or or even won. Some of these went to film festivals around the world when Bollywood was barely known. These show what kind of a complete film maker he was. There is a reason he is called the Showman of India. There is a reason even now I have weird experiences with running into old Russian people mostly who know the movie Awara by name and sing his songs to me in broken Hindi.

I have not even touched films like Bobby or Sathyam Shivam Sundaram where he produced and directed. I will not include films like Ram Teri Ganga Maili because it is a crappy film to me.

Raj Kapoor is one of the greatest in world cinema to me. He leaves Aamir miles below.

Bhaisaab...kyonki aapko Box office numbers se pyaar hai...toh is NAKAABIL Aamir ne worldwide 500 cr aur India mein 265 cr ki movie dee hai...uske pehle chaar saal 200 cr ka record hai jo ab ja kar toota hai...toh kaabil hai ya naakabil ye aap khud decide karo...

Poore career mein 2 films achi BO pe deke koi teer nahi maara... look @ the gap for those films, 4-5 years... itna time lekar agar 200 cr kar bhi liya toh bahut badi baat hai? woh bhi 40% inflated ticket rates pe as per CE trend 😆

26 Saal ke career mein 10 filmein hi hogi jo log jaante honge, woh bhi Aamir ko bhool jaate hai coz woh khud 4 saal ke wanwaas pe chala jaata hai, u will see after PK.

Aamir agar pasand hai toh pasand karo, usey utha ke yeh bolo ke Aamir jaisa koi nahi, yeh sirf aap hi support kar sakte ho, nahi 😆
