The film had nothing that could pull enough crowd to make it a 80 Cr. earner at the box office. No songs, no promotions, no dance numbers, no glossy sets. Probably , I would credit Vidya's national award for the general buzz regarding the movie but the opening day collections were bad.

I believe the film became a hit only because of WOM.

OMG is the biggest hit among the ones mentioned, and Paan SIngh Tomar is the best one. Queen had the least chance of succeeding, a non-mainstream plot, a woman- oriented film and not the greatest promotions. It was one of the few films that did better in its following weeks than its first, which says to me, that its a complete WOM hit.

Queen had music. London Thumakda and Hungama Ho Gaya were the reasons for the overall buzz of the film. But yeah after the initial buzz, it was the WOM that did the trick.
