Hahk for me...I find ddlj overrated...

And I beg to differ with the popular criticism that Hahk is a wedding video...it didn't have a plot but it had moments...lots of them that never bore u and are heartwarming to watch...and that is some amazing screenplay work considering its a 3 hr long film without a story...

The film has an inherent sincerity and charm that is so timeless...I can literally watch it today and not get bored...

With ddlj I find that I got bored after a couple of watches...Hahk I can watch with my grand kids and still like it...😆

Same here! I can watch HAHK everytime it comes on TV, but DDLJ, though I loved it when it was released, I havent' seen more than 2 or 3 times.

HAHK is a massively entertaining film and sort of leaves you in a really good mood, everytime you watch it! DDLJ is quite different from HAHK and just as good, but somehow it did not click with me as much as HAHK.

Dude Hahk was my toddler jam...

I used to learn colours based on salman and Maduris costumes in the songs (notice how Maduris has monochromatic costumes for each song)😆...and I refused to have food without listening to the songs atleast once...I still have that tape I used to listen to as a kid (it doesn't work anymore but I kept it as a memento...😆

And I learnt my Hindi watching the film too (coz I am originally Telugu and this was the first Hindi film I saw and the second film I saw overall)😆

Memories...plus it's a gr8 movie too...

I had even made a replica of that bright orange salwar kameez that Madhuri wore for Mayee ni mayee...of course, while it made her look divine, I looked like a clown wearing it!😆

HAHK songs are played till date in weddings and the costumes that Madhuri wore were a rage for years.

I like the thought behind Rajshree movies...they promote good family values and indian culture...a bit of an overdose, but at least their intentions are good. And if you have noticed, in none of the Rajshree movies, does anyone drink or smoke or gamble or argue / disrespect elders! Its a bit of an Utopian world, but at least there is an attempt to show something positive and good.

Love both films an d I feel it's unfair comparison, through and through.

Both films have their own charms, strengths and weaknesses - and of course, great music to the boot.

HAHK a marriage video? its much more than that. i disagree...HAHK isn't as overrated as DDLJ...Guess its all down to personal preferences which are bound to differ
