Main Tera Hero: I likedd it.. it's like a typical David Dhawan comedy ala Biwi no 1 and Partner.. I'm glad I watched it in the theatre and enjoyed so much it's a total paisa vasool movie.. Varun is so cute and he's the perfect commercial hero.. I don't care if he doesn't do meaningful cinema he's really good at this.. he should continue.. Rajpal Yadav was hilarious in every frame he was present.. Kiss ka sequel kiss 3 🤣 he should do more movies too.. Arunoday played his character pretty well.. I thought he would ruin it but he was pretty good.. I've seen the Telugu version too and I enjoyed it surprisingly I liked this version better.. Ileana and Nargis are both pretty but none of them have anything to do in the movie as expected.. Ileana looks stunning.. I liked all the songs esp Ghalat Baat hai.. 😳 very entertaining movie.. don't find logic in it just enjoy it's a well made movie.. special shout out to Varun, Rajpal Yadav and Saurabh Shukla.. 3/5

Some reviews are saying Varun is the modern day Govinda but for me he has more Salman than Govinda in him.

He's neither Salman nor Govinda.. it's his dad.. That was David's style of direction..

Varun Dhawan-starrer Main Tera Hero warded off strong competition from cricket to notch for itself a decent enough opening weekend.

The film, starring Ileana D'Cruz and Nargis Fakhri, opened slightly on the lower side on Friday with Rs. 6.60 crore net (India business only). Collections witnessed a 21 percent rise on Saturday. Sunday turned out still better despite the final cricket match of T20 World Cup between India and Sri Lanka.

The opening weekend break-up of 'Main Tera Hero' is thus.

Friday: 6.60 crore
Saturday: 8.03 crore
Sunday: 8.10 crore
Total: 22.73 crore net

Movie Review: 'Main Tera Hero' is madcap fun

The response to the film has been particularly good in the mass belt areas. Since close to Rs. 40 crore is riding on 'Main Tera Hero' (including production and promotion costs), one expects the movie to breakeven by the end of its first week or second weekend.

Meanwhile, the other release Jal fared poorly in its opening weekend.

Kangana Ranaut's Queen has emerged a HIT with Rs. 58 crore business till Saturday.

The coming week would see the release of Bhoothnath Returns.
