Just pointing out. Not meant to put down Varun or raise Sushant or anything like that. I have always maintained that for these newcomers, the whole package counts for a good opening, and not just the actor. So please don't take it the wrong way.😊

PC is one of the top heroine and one bad flop shouldn't affect her. Even Ranveer had a flop last year with Lootera. Gunday had a lot of things going for it. Aggressive promotions, good music and trailers and it was marketed as two hero movie based on friendship. PC's dance number was also well received. Can't take credit away from Arjun, PC after all that. Let's see what sort of opening KD gets.

Besharmi ki height is the best song of the album according to me too.. I like Palat but Besharmi ki height is more dance-y and peppy.. Illeana is such a delicate yet sexy girl..😳

Main Tera Hero was below the mark on day one as it took an average opening but collections went down badly in the evening as India played in a very important cricket match. The film needed to open well to counteract the cricket like Ragini MMS 2 did.

The first day collections were around the 5-5.25 crore nett as per early estimates which is not that good but Saturday will tell how much the cricket dented the film.

The film has cost over 40 crore to promote and release so the growth will have to be huge on Saturday. Growth of 10% would have been expected if Friday was not affected by the cricket so now there will be potential for 30-40% growth but the problem will be Sunday as India has reached the Final and collections of Main Tera Hero will be hit hard again.

This is the third time that a release of Balaji Motion pictures has been hit by the cricket. First there was Shaadi ke Side Effects then Ragini MMS 2 and Now Main Tera Hero. Ragini MMs 2 withstood the cricket onslaught and now it remains to be seen if Main Tera Hero can do the same.

I wonder why they would made such a expensive film.

sunday night box office will fall.

i guess many multiplex movie goers would choose Captain America over MTH.

Main Tera Hero Total Collection | Box Office Collection : The second comedy masala movie of 2014 has hit the screens. Before this Gunday was released almost one and a half month back which showed a remarkable presence at the Box Office.Varun Dhawan is rising great as a performing artist with numerous movies adding to his repertoire and the perceivability he has picked up throughout in one year, because of a couple of endorsements, which guaranteed great exposure and publicity among the youth and family.

Main Tero Hero movie released on First Friday of April surely made a fool of all other movies. The movie featuring Varun Dhawan, Nargis Fakhri and Illeana D'Cruz in the lead role is a not at all a washout material like all the recently released flicks. Though the movie got good reviews from Bollywood Pundits and audience but the occupancy was not good of First Day Evening because of T20 Tournment. This same scenario can be observed on Sunday Evening as well.

As per the sources, the occupancy observed at the single screens were little less of almost 50% but it was observed better at the multiplexes of approx 70% domestically. The other movie released on the same day is Jal' starring Purab Kohli and Tannishtha Chatterjee.

The movie is based on threesome love story in which Seenu (Varun Dhawan) gets attracted to a girl Sunaina (Illeana D'Cruz) in his college and persuades her to fall in love with him. After which he gets kidnapped founds out that another girl Ayesha (Nargis Fakhri) who happens to be the daughter of Gangster is also fascinated to the same guy. Now the hero has to choose between the two bombshells.
