If those movies were hit it was thanks to SRK and Aamir it had nothing to do with Kajol. And if any actress had been casted opposite them it would have been a hit anyways. Kajol has always played it safe in her career never took risks in acting. She was lucky to have a close friend Karan Johar and once upon a time friend Aditya Chopra. So I don't get it when people praise her so much but I think it's her chemistry with thanks to SRK again that does it for her...I agree she's a good actress but not the best or the most talented out there.

Actresses like Madhuri, Rani, Manisha, Tabu, Karisma had done many versatile roles with and without big stars opposite them...

SRK's first hit was Deewana! After that he had another hit with Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman. He had won the Debut Award for Deewana and stole the show from Rishi Kapoor. By the time Baazigar came, SRK was already famous and an award winner. Even prior to films, SRK was a very popular TV actor. His fame and success far exceeded Kajol's.

By the time DDLJ came, SRK had already had loads of hits, a Best Debut Award, a Best Actor award, Best Villain award, and even a Critics actor award for Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naan. In Darr, he had stolen the show from Sunny Deol. Same thing that happened with Rishi earlier.

SRK had no star power when DDLJ released ... 😆

Kajol has benefitted immensely from her chemistry with SRK. Even without those movies with her, SRK would still be a super successful star. Same is not true for Kajol. Without Baazigar, KKHH, Kabhi Khushi and MNIK, she would barely have anything.

I used to love Kajol and she acted well in all those movies with SRK. But now I think she just plays herself. Most of her roles are shouting, screaming, squealing, cackling types which is exactly her own personality. She just comes on set and plays Kajol for the most part.

Overrated or not,she is still x times more talented than King Khan's current costars...Yeah she is not attractive looking but when did SRK became text book stds for good looks??/ Everyone saw what an epic disaster JTHJ turned out to be...If Kajol has no role in making DDLJ,KKHH a sucess then why Kat devi couldnt recreate the same chemistry with SRK under a legandary director??/...Atleast Kajol was never called a wooden plank in her entire career 😆...She will always be remember as talented actress with substance than a flowerpot or glamdoll 😛😆...If DP can win for CE over Sonakshi,Nimrit and Anushka can with best supporting actress for JTHJ over other deserving candidates,Kajol's win is hardly questionable...I thought popularity and reach of character/movie is more important than critical acclaim when it comes to POPULAR awards like Filmfare (reason with which majority here justified DP's win over others)...Oh I forgot different rules and parameters are applied for judgement when it comes to Kajol 😉😆
