I don't know whether you can call it message or anything, but I thought life has come full circle for Jordan at that hospital. JJ wanted to become a huge star all his life and even meeting Heer was part of that process only. And when he becomes big, he basically ends up being a slave of label companies and loses all the freedom. And he's yearning to become the old simpleton who's heart was light and had all the freedom in the world as no one cared about him.

The scene where he had to half-plead the police to keep him showed it clearly. He was such a big star, but lost his freedom in the processes so much so that he even had to plead to let his visit his close ones in the hospital. Also it shows another big irony. In the beginning of the movie, he gets slapped by Police for singing in the bus stop and entertaining people. And here when he's Rockstar, they are gonna arrest him 'cos he couldn't sign in the show as Heer was hospitalized. 😆 Basically shows the hypocrisy of the society. I love the film due to moments like these. So many to interpret.

Also I wonder whether what Jodan meant when he said Khatana bhai that he doesn't wanna big, his heart shouldn't break. Did he realize fame and success was not worth his freedom? Was he yearning to go back to the simpleton phase and wish he never met Heer? After all, he wouldn't have known her if he didn't want heartbreak to inspire him. He told Heer that he was restless ever since she left him so probably couldn't take it anymore and wanted to go back to his innocent self in the college days.

Storyline seemed forced. Seems like they made a story as they went along. Ranbir was great & ofcourse awesome music. Nargis was just terrible. I can't take Imtiaz seriously anymore just 'coz he let a movie release with such atrocious acting or rather no acting from it's female lead. But then the story itself was weak to begin with.
