Alia-Arjun chemistry was the saving grace of that trailer, seems the offscreen chemistry does translate.
Arjun with all his imperfections, chubbiness looks the part- younger and hence more compatible with Alia.
Ronit looked out of place here, more fit than his onscreen son lol.

Also I don't get why people are expecting Alia to pull a Highway act, she seems apt for the kinda lightheartedness the role requires.

I really wish someone like Raju Hirani had directed this movie.

Other than Amrita and Revathy, i found the trailer and the actors unimpressive. I am hoping, the movie is much better.

When his mediocre book like 3 mistakes of my life translated well on screen in the form of Kai Po che, i really have high hopes for this book to be translated well on screen.

IMO, 2 states is his best work out of all his books.

Arjun Kapoor is so pathetic in this trailer... zero on dialogue delivery and screen presence!

I saw the trailer and liked it. Don't know if it's me because I've just restarted watching hindi movies after long and am liking everything? But didn't read the book but I it's good they actually have a story no? Alia Bhatt looking very good, haven't seen any of her movies but she looks so cute! And well Arjun is a baba so I adore him.

And about the Madras comment, it's not a slur actually but kind of condescendingly used and actually reflects the lack of awareness more than anything. But this is true a lot of times. People liberally trade insults especially


But I'm missing the real rowdy Baba yaar.

Looks boring..Alia is good out Arjun looks like he's sleeping throughout the trailer.

Love the book. Have to watch this one

Ohh Shiv Subramaniam as Alia's father, he isn't that good of an actor compared to Ronit Roy.

The book is set in the 90's (when the author and his wife were studying at IIM) and the film is set in the current times, almost 2 decades later. The book felt realistic because it was set in a completely different time, when there were no cell-phones (the scene where Krrish goes to a STD Booth to make a call home) and even relatively well-off people did not own Cars!
