and a movie being a hit isn't only about the actor, its about the movie itself! If it was about the actor then besharam wud have been a hit.

Its about having the right movie with the right script, so can we stop saying that ranbir made the movie a hit or ranveer made the movie a hit. Even the khans have had many flops in their career.

If anyone should get credit for a flop or a hit then it should be the director and the producer.

And how do we know what movies r being offered or not to these actors, its so sad to see that we can't just support the two of them. I mean wat difference wud it make to ranveers career if ranbir movie didn't do well, and what difference wud it make to ranbirs career if a ranveer movie didn't do well.

So why r the fans arguing like this

He basically works his friends now(Ayan, Anurag and Imtiaz) so I don't think what others doing matters. Besides, some roles gets passed on to others. Happens to all stars. Ranbir-Kareena was supposed to do Zoya's film and Aamir rejected Bombay Velvet. Veer-Priyanka is doing Zoya film now. Ranbir said he chose a person more than script, trusts their vision etc.

Imtiaz came to him to do Window Seat in 2011, but he was the one who asked about Shelved John Abraham project in 2006 which was Rockstar. Imtiaz couldn't get over it after the discussion and started writing the script of Rockstar again. They scrapped Barfi after 2 days of shooting 'cos the film appeared too dark. They reworked the script and Ranbir stood by them for whole year without doing any project. What am saying is that, his contributions to the final product is massive and not just as an actor. So it's not like he takes a ready made script and acts it which becomes superhit. Glad Besharam flopped in a way 'cos he will stay away from such genre and will reiterate his own belief about cinema. I think he did it only because Ajab became hit which he didn't rate very highly.

Kinda answered it in my next post. Also Ranbir-Deepika agreed to do YJHD without complete script. Ayan said on Director's roundtable with Rajeev that both agreed to do film after hearing oneliner about the character. He completed last 45 minutes after shooting started and had no idea how to end the film until last few days. So yeah, actors trust in director is also important in such cases though filmmakers deserves most of credit.

every actor trusts the directors vision, if they didn't then they wouldn't be doing the movie. Which is why its ultimately about the director and whether he can bring that vision to the table. So I don't believe that actors shud get bashed if a movie doesn't do well.

And an actors career goes on for longer, which means there will be mix of hits and flops becuz not every movie is going to work, just look at the khans and how many flops and hits they have gone through.

rk n ranveer are th best young hot n happening actors today..hope they rule in future. .sometimes I think rk is ruling but he still has a long way to go
