Ranbir is brilliant actor but his work in Saawariya was strictly average. Ranveer was better if you compare their debut performances.

I think the whole Ranbir is a star kid thing is somewhat fair. The guy's a great actor regardless..and people keep forgetting that. The fact that his debut film didn't do so well yet he still proved himself by doing great work says a lot. Needless to say he did stuff like Wake Up Sid and Rocket Singh to get his due - films which aren't conventional and somewhat risky as a newcomer.

Saawariya was crap, i couldn't even watch the whole film itna boring tha...but I liked RKs other movies like barfi honestly.But talking about the debuts defo Ranveer was perfect as Bittu Sharma! Hands down! H e totally nailed it!

this just goes to show that it isn't nessecerily the actor that makes the movie a hit, becuz even big superstars like the khans have had movies that don't work, so I don't see why we put such pressure on the actors to deliver a hit when its the director and producers that make the movie

Whichever movie would've been a bigger hit, the actor of that film would have gotten the award (i.e. Deepika vs. Sonam).

Or maybe Ranbir would have gotten in just because the Kapoor family is so influential. Nonetheless I am too lazy to compare the two performances. They were both good.

Ranbir would've made a bigger splash. The hype that year was about Om Shanti Om and Sanjay Leela Bansali's Sawaariya that starred two star kids. I don't think BBB would've taken away from that.
