^^ It is really not about R.Rajkumar. It is about Sonakshi's general attitude to films. So, I don't understand why any particular movie is or should be discussed here.

Maybe it's unfair to her fans ... but she is standing where she is today, because of her fans ... When she realizes that her fans are tired of watching her in this crap... she will move on.

Like DB_Reloaded, I think, ...keeps on mentioning that Masala stuff will die soon enough anyways ... I agree. These stars will have no choice but to move on automatically.

Unlike some other actors ... she at least showed a bit of interest in doing other kind of movies ... I know, Lootera's only one movie ...but unlike others, she is still young and yet to make lots of choices...

(1) An audience who sees talent and will say it's going to waste because they can (2) The segment of the audience which is tired of seeing brainless movies.

It's very true what you said, 'fans' will indeed lap up anything and turn out their pockets 😆 It takes an evolved creature to bring in some 'personal intellect' and say it like it is when it needs to be said.

^^ Lootera had terrible WOM, by the way. Everyone who went to watch the movie, came back saying, I loved it, but I don't think you will. Hence, more people were discouraged to watch the film.

And Sonakshi is a grade one hypocrite. Just because she doesn't have the body to wear bikini, she shames other heroines who choose to do so. She only cares about her wallpaper roles, and being part of superhit movies. Also, she know very well that she will not be accepted in a variety of roles. Hence, the hypocrisy. What a waste of a great acting talent, really. Wake the heck up, babe.

Also, she did Lootera only because it was Motwane and Balaji PH. She had already done their OUATIMD and angering Ekta is always a bad option. She just has zero interest in acting. So unfair. Someone like Sonam or Deepika should have been bestowed with the talent. They are a lot more serious about their crafts than she will ever be.

Shames em? Actually most actresses should be proud of the fact how Sonakshi carries herself... Second, I doubt any actress can shame an other. They are all proud lot. 😆

Mind you, I do not like such genre myself ... but I find .. in Sona's case we are acting a bit harsh. I might be agreeing...if I see her career ending in couple of years...and think, so little time and what the hell is she doing! But I think, it's too soon to say anything.

The problem w/ her is..she is doing so many movies in a year...and that too from the same genre...I understand why people are getting frustrated ... All I will say in her case, enjoy it while it lasts. 😆

Oh, she definitely takes digs on other actresses. That is more than obvious. And I like her body actually, she is unique, but her hypocrisy is laughable. 😆 If Lootera was a hit, then she would have danced on some other tune. And this is not the first time she is making hypocritical statements, and people are not frustrated for no reason. At least, I am not.

I went with my brain to this movie & loved it..it is a very blanket statement to divide films into such categories..just because a movie is termed as masala does not mean it is junk..same way as so called art cannot camouflage rubbish..

So much of the Ram-Leela 's story was based on revenge on the married woman/widow by the men in the form of attempted gang-rape..all that was swept under the carpet by these so called intellectual critics..I won't say such a story is great shakes & conducive to the brain..

Dilution of the craft?..really..Prabhu Dheva is great in his craft..the way he gave a wonderful screenplay..one does not get bored for even one sec..

Is she alone is placing $$$ ahead of anything else..the whole BW seems to be party to that..how many have dissed Shahid's movie just because it did not do well at BO in this forum itself..

It's great that you enjoyed R...Rajkumar with your brain in tow. It's always better in fact when your brain can also be among the organs which enjoy a recreational activity. I think I can definitely also say that you are not the only person who enjoyed it, just as there were others who didn't. Both are equally entitled to voicing their opinions.

Ram Leela is not a great example of a movie that was loved by critics. It is perceived as well-received not because of its story, but because of the overall content (let us call them visuals because SLB) and the numbers that it did at the box office. It was critically average or decent at most, and nothing to write home about unless you were an avid fan of one of the two main actors, whom I'm sure did write home about it like all fans do.

That people did not get bored for even one second: that is your personal opinion because I'm sure there were people who not only got bored but even suffered some harm to their psychology as Rajeev Masand seemed to have expressed in one of his tweets.

I do not speak on the forum for anyone else as there are all kinds here who do all types of things, but you can rest assured that I think very similarly of other people who place $$$ ahead of everything else in this industry as I have expressed of Sonakshi and I have never been among those who have clocked Shahid or as a matter of fact, anyone whose movie(s) have not done financially well. Simply put, I do not diss on the basis of $$$. But I care and do speak about people's performance, potential or talent.

Conclusion: I hate to say it because I'm neutral on Shahid and it's great to see the hopes you all had from R...Rajkumar come to fruition, but you guys do not have to defend Shahid or the movie that he was a part of by defending Sonakshi's insensible statement by extension. What she said can stand independently without reflecting on him or the movie and she is the only one who is at and should rightfully be at the receiving end of the reactions or comments about what she said.

World is indeed unfair. What can we do? 😆

Boycott Sonakshi's movies 😆 Just kidding!

But seriously, it tells me not to have any hopes of her actualizing her talent and indeed does give everyone a chance to see her priorities for what they are. And people are going to say their piece about that, whether it's disappointment or denouncement 😆 Yeah, maybe we're being harsh...but hey, who isn't measured on the same yard stick in this industry.

This is my point precisely. I like Shahid a lot myself, but I see no reason why Sonakshi's statement cannot stand as an independent reflection of her attitude to films, and not in relation to said movie. Sonakshi's general attitude is in question here, not any particular movie.
And at least, people can comment on her general attitude without talking about any specific movie. Everyone has that right.
