What she said can stand independently without reflecting on him or the movie and she is the only one who is at and should rightfully be at the receiving end of the reactions or comments about what she said.

I am defending Sonakshi's statement because I agree with it..I will go further than what she did..instead of calling it "personal intellect"..I would call it "personal agenda" of the paid critics..I have been ranting at the maliciousness of the critics for RR from the longest time..I am happy Sona agrees with me..😳

I know it is in a way suicidal for the actors to go against these critics..they tend to take revenge in all their subsequent reviews..Taran Adarsh has still not cooled down because Shahid revealed his substandard morals on twitter during "Mausam" time..he is still burning..he is burning even more now that RR has done well in spite of his best efforts to kill it..😆

I think I can definitely also say that you are not the only person who enjoyed it, just as there were others who didn't. Both are equally entitled to voicing their opinions.

Ram Leela is not a great example of a movie that was loved by critics. It is perceived as well-received not because of its story, but because of the overall content (let us call them visuals because SLB) and the numbers that it did at the box office. It was critically average or decent at most, and nothing to write home about unless you were an avid fan of one of the two main actors, whom I'm sure did write home about it like all fans do.

That people did not get bored for even one second: that is your personal opinion because I'm sure there were people who not only got bored but even suffered some harm to their psychology as Rajeev Masand seemed to have expressed in one of his tweets.

I do not speak on the forum for anyone else as there are all kinds here who do all types of things, but you can rest assured that I think very similarly of other people who place $$$ ahead of everything else in this industry as I have expressed of Sonakshi and I have never been among those who have clocked Shahid or as a matter of fact, anyone whose movie(s) have not done financially well. Simply put, I do not diss on the basis of $$$. But I care and do speak about people's performance, potential or talent.

I don't know about other Shahid fans ... but I never defended RR for its genre. I'm just happy as a fan that RR did good from audience's perspective. That they enjoyed him, loved him. He's not being written off. Actually I'm busy praying that Sasha doesn't turn into an other Masala hero, just cause this movie of his did good. There are some who did enjoy RR and some who didn't. My reasons for enjoying RR was action sequences and chemistry. Otherwise I hate PD's direction ... I never understood why people like it in the first place. Then again it's how audience's taste these days.

I don't have to defend Sasha ... his work, flop or hit, speaks for itself.

For me, it's all about Haider. 😆

This is my point precisely. I like Shahid a lot myself, but I see no reason why Sonakshi's statement cannot stand as an independent reflection of her attitude to films, and not in relation to said movie. Sonakshi's general attitude is in question here, not any particular movie.

My defending Sonakshi has nothing to do with RR/Shahid. 😛 Just so ya know. When it comes to actresses, I'm neutral. 😆

Boycott Sonakshi's movies 😆 Just kidding!

But seriously, it tells me not to have any hopes of her actualizing her talent and indeed does give everyone a chance to see her priorities for what they are. And people are going to say their piece about that, whether it's disappointment or denouncement 😆 Yeah, maybe we're being harsh...but hey, who isn't measured on the same yard stick in this industry.

I was never a Sonaskhi fan to begin with. Never seen much of her movies. 😛 It's just I started following her cause of RR and started liking her ... even liked her cause of Lootera.

My point is simple ... She is too young and it's too soon to judge. Sooner or later, she'll get tired. She got 10 more years to go -- if she doesn't ruin her image before. 😆

That's the whole point of having film and artistic critics. They are supposed to be intellectuals analyzing a work from a student/professional's POV and not to be blown away by whistles and jeers of cinema hall audience. If you don't want to be panned by critics, stop working in sadak-chhap movies and get into serious work and if you are merely concerned about BO earnings and mob jeering, do what you are doing and don't bother yourself with the critic's opinions. But to expect critics to turn imbecilic just because your movies are such, is lame.

Well, don't you have an agenda against critics already too then, to see whatever they do in a certain (monetarily controlled) light? 😆 Everyone has an agenda and everyone has a perspective...neither can be left behind in watching movies and earning a living from writing movie reviews. But not everyone is lying, you know what I mean? Not every critic is writing with the money pouring in from some direction. There are those who do write without those influences and there are critics whose reviews you agree with too. Point is: Sonakshi brushed off critics in entirety with the argument that there is 'no point in bringing personal intellect' to the movies. Her reason for putting them down is because she believes more in $$$. Your reason for putting them down are because they take $$$ to write certain things. My criticism is about her reason (leaving brains behind) and not related to or addressing your reason for disbelief in critics. So what I see is you supporting Sonakshi's statement, not on the basis of her reason, but for your own...Sonakshi ke teer se apna shikar 😆 And I'm not here to argue about the credibility of critics, but about HER statements and the reason behind it.

By the way, you two...vssaras and Jake, don't play...you guys wouldn't even be in this thread if not for R...Rajkumar 😆

Shut Up, Sonakshi. Your own majority of fans want you to do performance oriented roles and movies like Lootera. Forget about your fans, even the neutral and some of your haters want you to do performance oriented roles because you can do them than wasting your time in flowerpot roles in Masala genre. Yet, you are still saying audience love you in crappy flowerpot roles and that's why you're doing? -__-

If you really cared about viewers choice, you would've listened. But you don't, so stop talking about viewers!

She has done almost as many films as Ranbir in just half the time! So when is it not soon enough to judge?

Let critics keep doing their own thing..😆

I just want more & more of the public to realize that these so called intellectuals are in their own zone quite apart from the common..& stop paying them any undue attention..quite a lot of that happened this time..the reaction of people after seeing RR & the unfair critic rating was pretty cool to see..😆
