It could. I remember how YJHD pretty much rolled over everything that came out over the next month after its release. I think we'll know more after this upcoming weekend.

However, I think Ram-Leela is an entirely different genre than Krrish 3. I'm hoping there is enough room (and audience) for both of them.

Unfortunately not. He has only given a notice about the ramleela hangout happening today at 5:30pm india time. When I asked him about the promos he said 'soon' which could be any time. But his last tweet was that he has been working 20 hours non stop preparing for the release of ramleela, which means they are getting ready to release some new stuff.

It's not krrish 3 I am worrying about, I am worried about the releases happening after ramleela. Gtpm seems very popular and I seen many on twitter wanting to go and watch it, then we have bullet raja then after that r.rajkumar which is extremely popular and has very good songs. That leaves very little time for ramleela to breath after it gets released. However if the film is very good then it will be able to survive, which is why I am keeping everything crossed for the reviews to be fantastic and then for the WOM to be better, only then will ramleela be a success, but it's very tough. Also ramleela will be effected by sachins last match as it's happening the same weekend as the release!

Why does it looks like that SRK is trying to give his two cent to,Ranveer...😆...Deepika is all smile but SRK and Ranveer are little serious...Ranveer me phir table dance kar Diya hoga...lol...

I admire Ranveer and his zest for life...he doesn't drink but have maximum fun at parties...😆

LOVED how SLB said that Ranveer has that Janoon to be something in life...👏

Same here...I think RL will get excellent WOM and do well on that basis!

I am not expecting it to break records or do huge business, but from what I can make out, there should be no problem in getting a hit status for the film.

@Zara, there are innumerable examples of films releasing on the same day and all of them doing very well! Atleast, RL has two clear weeks after Krrish and one whole week before GTPM! One week is enough for the film to sail past the hit mark!

I think we will be able to get a better picture once reviews start pouring in!

Look at Krrish 3 example...it was pre-diwali, there was a cricket match going on and on top of that none of the songs or promo's of the film were trending or had been well-accepted...yet, it got good reviews and subsequently positive WOM, which made it do historic business.

If a film is good, then nothing can stop it from working!

I think SRK is very protective about Deepu...maybe, that is why giving a 'bade bhaiyya' walla lecture to Ranveer...😆

Ranveer does look very sheepish and scared in the pics...and Deepika is looking maha-amused!🤣 I wish, I could be privy to the convo between the three!

RL has been sold at very good prices to the distributors...now those guys must be seeing something in the film, that is why they paid good money, isn't it? Warna going by the fact that the director of the film had given two back to back flops and the male lead of the film is relatively a newbie...no distributor in his right mind would pay good money for the film, unless they were completely confident and convinced that the film was going to do well commercially!

In the end, I believe that luck also has a lot to do with everything, films in particular!

Look at Vivek Oberoi! Did anyone even think that he would make a come-back like this? Two back to back BB's in a row, in the same year!

Going by that logic, Deepika's luck is going very strong this year (touchwood)...and she might just pull out another BB from her hat!

PS: If twitter is a standard to measure a film's popularity, then RL is also not behind...it has trended to the top many a times...only issue is that the maximum popularity for the film should have been right now...a few days before release...but the promotion strategy of the film was a bit muddled in this regard.

Your right, apparently ramleela did sell for quite a high price and the better the movie the higher the prices, which means the more confident the distributors are about the movie. Also critics and people who have seen snippets from the movie, or even the whole movie, have been praising it very highly. But critics are one thing and the audience is another, nobody knows how the majority is going to react. Just hoping we get both good reviews and WOM!

wow...SLB is all praises for Ranveer...I hope the movie become a hit more for the sake of Ranveer. As he said Ranveer's eyes have that power...such intense eyes he has got..They are his greatest assets.
