why OSCAR? we don't need any approval of western awards. national awards i will include, he hasnt got any national awards, nd so has dev hasnt got any oscar. so...

Weren't the kids handpicked from slums of Mumbai? Freida Pinto, Irfan, Anil are, in the words you used in other thread, Pure Indians. Dev Patel is of Indian origin. Film based in Mumbai. Half of the lines in Hindi. Went to Oscar as the movie which showed the harsh reality of India.

So...? namaste london had so many actors who were not indian, many dialogues too were in english, does that means it was a english movie??

I didn't see British media commenting about how NL is a British movie. Sorry you make no sense, I meant that INDIAN media,celebs and even ppl were applauding SM as one of their own movies for winning Oscar. Ofcourse there were many who disliked the portrayal of India too.
