Satyagraha First Day Business

Satyagraha had an fair first day collecting around 9.75-10 crore nett. The business was best in the Delhi/NCR, Rajasthan, Gujarat and CI. The key for the film is Saturday growth and if the film can show a good jump then it can come out with a respectable weekend total.

The disappointment is that collections are in the same range as Raajneeti which was a similar film by the same director but was released 3 years back with 1000 screens less than Satyagraha. Raajneeti had collected 10 crore nett plus on day one and 33 weekend and it could be a similar scenario for Satyagraha give or take 5%.

The film fared similarly in both multiplexes and single screens

Mumbai - 3.45 crore

Delhi/UP - 2.06 crore

East Punjab - 76 lakhs

West Bengal - 31 lakhs

Bihar - 20 lakhs

CP Berar - 59 lakhs

CI - 47 lakhs

Rajasthan - 72 lakhs

Nizam - 52 lakhs

Mysore - 38 lakhs

Others - 30 lakhs

TOTAL - 9.76 cror

How with 2600 screen the film will open with only 6cr John film open with 6 crore with half of this number 9-10 cr is very expected with this huge amoubt of screen but the rest will depend on how the film will do next days

Satyagraha Starts Well on Saturday Morning Shows.

Satyagraha chases a good Saturday Collection at Box Office after a decent Friday. Film has started on better note on Saturday in comparison to Friday Morning Shows. Satyagraha is reporting occupancy of 40% on average for Saturday Morning shows on average across India, which is better than Friday Morning occupancy of 30-35%.

Satyagraha has opened to very well 55% in Gurgaon City. In Delhi also opening is decent with occupancy of 35% is reported. In Mumbai however film is slow on Saturday like Yesterday. Film is reporting an occupancy of 25% thereon. Satyagraha occupancy for Saturday Morning shows are decent to good, but can't be said as any sort of Bumper. However film will show growth through the day progressing.

Coming to advance booking report, it is reported good for the later half of the day. As tomorrow is Holiday because of Sunday, already a big chunk of tickets are Sold Out for Evening and Night shows. From early trends expect a decent jump on Saturday from Friday, which augurs well for the film.
