Lootera although getting great reviews and ratings is doing average business .well it was kind given since the film was slow paced and for a niche audience

Do u think if any of the khans(sal/srk aamir) were cast instead of Ranveer but with no changes in the scripts 😆how good the business would have been

can the khans pull the audience for such movies .Is it possible that their pull work on such movies .if yes then y do u think they dont do such movies .they r the superstars should they encourage such movies along with the usual masala movies they do(SRK salman majorly)

lallan babu plays himselfin every movie

SRk lets not even go there (his choices suckđŸ€ą)

Aamir can work in such movies but then his interfering nose MR perfectionist ll meddle with scriptsđŸ„±

what do u think should khans encourage such movie (i havent included chakki and pichkari as i m still doubtful about them 😆)

when i said Lootera i actually meant lootera type movie that get great ratings not In lootera as per se

Disscuss😛

salman did try off-beat movies like phir milenge, khamoshi and then he said by his own mouth 'kutte billi bhi dekne nahi gaye the' 😆
SRK's dil se,swades also flopped
I think only aamir can do it

Tough to imagine the Khans in the same movie. The movie I guess needed a young couple. So with the 45+ Khans in it the script would have needed tweaking.

This film wouldn't have worked with Khans, they are all old for varun character.

Such films will always be risky in terms of BO business regardless of who's casted in them...that's because such movies aren't watched by all like those masala entertainers. Also, Varun's role required someone young..the Khans would've looked too old to play the part. I personally think Ranveer and Sonakshi played their respective parts very well..it's not their fault that the movie isn't doing as well as it deserves to..as I said, such movies can never be guaranteed successes regardless of who you have in them. However, the Khans definitely would pull more people to the theaters that's for sure.

I don't know why but this film's fate reminds me somewhat of Dil Se's. Dil Se didn't work with the audiences either and I have no idea why, despite having awesome music and SRK...but I loved the story and performances. With that said, even SRK couldn't save that movie.

The failure of Lootera just puts the success of Barfi into sharper relief. A movie with no dialogues between the lead pair, both hero and heroine depicted with huge mental imperfections, no chart-busting music, no action sequence, slow and lengthy screentime, simple and non-suspenseful storyline, no glitz or glamour in any scene, no traditional masala - and it still makes 100 crores.
Put Ranbir instead of Ranveer in Lootera and I think the movie would have made at least double of what it has made IMO. Ranveer sadly seems to have no pull at the box-office.

Ranveer certainly lacks Ranbir's BO pull. Sonakshi too has less of a BO pull than PC. But keeping that aside one sharp contrast I noticed in both films was the public reaction in the cinema hall. While with Barfi everyone started off laughing right at the beginning with the opeing credits song Picture Shuru for Lootera the whole hall was quiet. I think at the end of the day people looks for entertainment factor when they choose to go to a movie. While Barfi trailer highlighted the fun parts in the movie the Lootera trailer didnt. While that was being honest to what Lootera was as a film it kept the weekend numbers and subsequent WOM low for the film as compared to Barfi.

No!

Aamir did Dhobi Ghat
Shahrukh did Swades
Salman did Phir Milenge

But all the films were flops.
