Sonam is coming up good
in teengae love-hate story and especially on a one to one heartiest realtionship stories of churning just the plain heart-feelings,.. ( i do not like buffalos/padas like KAT, parineeti, Sonakshi, Rani or anushka or Kareena,... perhaps dipika a litle bit,.. but Sonam a lot
in these kind of one to one heartiest emotions n' feelings in churnings )
though bodily asset point of view speaking,...she is not my favorite and many calls her lean and thin ( haddiyon ka dhaanchaa ) a garodi / chhipkali
But somehow I like her to an
extent ( I like lean and tall girlies, than fatty padas like Sonakshi / Vidhya ) and her Aisha and Mausam I had liked , though many did not,...
Plus, when Sonam is on screen, I do not expect her,
for any cleveage exposed or legs, thighs, bum exposed,
Coz only I expect her from is cry, harsh, hate, anger, love, bash, happy in love, cry in hate, and all heartiest feelings in full-gear of churning,...
I just love her watching doing so,... and hell with her underdeveloped breasts or any body parts, since I expect nothing in that area, anyway,...

Hi Nithya, I totally agree that the movie is even better on a second watch...although the first watch is fun if you avoid spoilers and don't know the twists and turns coming up...but on second watch you can appreciate the nuances even more...there is so much sensitivity in the way some things have been shown.

And word to what you said about this movie being more about ATONEMENT than love...especially the second half...and yes that last convo b/w Zoya and Kundan...the more I watch it, the more I love it...Dhanush is OUTSTANDING, man...👏👏👏...the emotion in Kundan's eyes there...wow.

At some points, Dhanush's heavy accent does hamper the dialogues which is why I'm saying on second watch I could understand what he was trying to say a bit better...but even despite the language barriers, this man is such a genius actor that the language challenges never bog him down...he's a complete natural...and totally sinks into his character...he proves that talent transcends all barriers...language, culture, everything...his talent forces you to become a fan...you have no other choice😆

I can agree to you only in a certain extent, as you had to really see it, if that little short guy aamir ( of 3 idiots/ rang de basanti ) if was placed
then how smart and feeling-ful facial expressions
he could had delivered, with dialect weightage,...
and all face-feelings reading by itself,...
I had rather said,.. Rahemaan and director has saved Dhanush a lot,
by keeping him mute/silent of more diction
and had forwardred a lots of story in musical back grounds, in AR's tunes,... and camera shots of Banaras and its life-life,... woven so nicely,...
I hate and dislike KRK a lot than any other actor-animal on the earth,...
but still I had given him some credit for his bravery/ jigar
to tell Rajnikan'ts SIL, the way he saw him, and as he is,...
this guy's open telling dare also needs some prestige,.. somewhere for sure,...no matter how hard you and me hate him,... 'Coz what he says holds some water somewhere,... and it needs
loads of band-aids and upcoming fire-spark throw bearing capacity,...for whatso he says so openly,...

OMG so much sensible talk from Sonam😲😆 Let me faint first *khushi ke aansoo*😆😆

Fab interview...especially the beginning bits where she talked so honestly and candidly about why she did those movies and what her thought process was there...it shows self-awareness...especially when she talks about how she doesn't have the talent do do certain roles...kudos, Sonam👏...I know we rag on her a lot for living in a bubble...lol...but she surprised me in this interview.

I loved how honestly she spoke about not having the credibility in her or the talent to do larger than life heroine roles...the usual hindi film heroine removed from reality...and the fact that Raanjhanaa helped her find herself...it's very true and it SHOWS in the movie...I can see the genuine leap in her as an actor...and I'm honestly happy for her...now I can only hope she continues forward with doing stuff that works for her...she's not made to fit into the space of the norms...so she will have to carve out her own niche and for that she will deffo need good writers and directors to nurture that from her too...

*Edit: Forgot to mention but loved how she described Zoya...that she is the most beautiful girl in the mohalla who KNOWS she is the most beautiful girl in the mohalla...lol...and looking at her you could see that she wasn't made to last in Benaras very long anyways...she had to fly out ot the big city...and the hand holding-slapping routine b/w her and Kundan was their own brand of flirting...lol

I think she is talking about either Sawariya's debate or Delhi 6,
if not Aisha.

I Hate Love Stories😆...that has been her only solid hit till date until Raanjhanaa now...Aisha did average business I believe...Saawariyaa and Delhi 6 were both flops.

and we watch ya on screen,... and that's the heavenly happiness,...
we need no exposure or skin-show from you,... no breastal/bum pads you need wearing, baby ,.. let Vidhya handle it,... there are others doing that job for us, more nicely,.. ..
you churn the emotions and feeling so nicely,... just drain that nose in full flow and throw some stuff,... churn the heart,.. and we will love you more than ever,... dear Sonam,...we are males,. we just love it,.. what we can not do,...God bless baby,...

W*F are you saying?😆

OMG ! Did you attempt to get it ??
it was not meant for you, in the first case,... ... " Baat hi kuchh unche level pe thii,..."
all the love-stories do not have positive endings
and likewise,.. all the posts are not meant for any
road-siders Tom, Dick and Harry !

Thanks for explaining desimaganlal and AreYaar.😊My hindi is poor ...on top of that Dhanush's accent made it a little diificult to grasp some dialogues..but only some parts.

I absolutely loved the movie, it isn't a typical love story it was unique. The movie was an amazing experience, thoroughly enjoyed it.
Dhanush and Sonam both were absolutely stupendous. Raanjhanaa is one of the best directed movies along with shoot out at wadala this year.
I think everyone should watch this movie.
4.5 (I am deducting .5 for the devastating ending)
