guys can anyone explain why Kundan taped her face and what he said when zoya confessed her love..it went over my head😕

Zoya spit on Kundan face,. since she was indirectly telling him,... that
We ( Zoya and Abhay ) both were knowing that they were Hindu and Muslim, ( and played to hide from Zoya's parents ) and Kundan broke their marriage while revealing that,...
and now he is trying to create 'hamdardi' to make them again meet together, when both were injured / hit. ??? What for ?
Kundan taped her face, to tell her that what so happend,... happened,. and nonetheless he is keen to somehow make them both to meet together again ( since NOW he knew that zoya, jagjeet and Zoya's friend ( J's sister ) they all knew it already ( Hindu/Muslim ) and were in a plan to have them married ) and hence Zoya should not scream now,. and let kundan do his work,...and hence taped, and forcefully train-drove her to Abhay's house.
...
When Zoya confessed her ( fake ) love, ( in fact she was to send him at the planned meeting location where someone was to shot Kundan ) that day in the morning he had police call and he was listening that while siting on that bus's foot step when Zoya told him to go with her immediately in rickshaw and Kundan knew that it was a saazish to kill him,.. and in that plan Zoya was also in,.. and hence he acted like,... " woh agar hans ke maange to ham jaan bhi de de,... "
listen him what he said, and his expressions,... as if,... if you wanna send me to get killed,... I'm ready for you .
watch here again at the counter,...10:14

Sonam has a second hit to her name, big deal. But the real question is, can she SUSTAIN IT? Only time will tell Choco. 🤗

Finally watched it last night... Speechless and overwhelmed till now.
After watching it, I didn't know what to say cuz it totally drained me of everything I could feel. It brought out joy and happiness through the first half and the witty one-liners brought out laughs, sweet moments brought out romance. Kundan, Bindiya and later Zoya brought out that pain at not being loved back by those that they loved. That pain of unrequited love. Jealousy, revenge, guilt, anger, frustration. I literally felt it all together with the characters. It made me angry in the end and yet it was the only justifiable way to carry the story. All in all, absolutely loved the movie and it's definitely on my list of favorite movies to go back to.
Two scenes that really struck me:
1st. the hospital scene where zoya spits on kundan, the chemistry was sizzling there!!! Just crackling!
2nd. The scene before getting into the rally. Kundan's pain! And the way he says that he know doesn't what she's doing and where she's sending him but that he would go wherever she sent him. It was just P-A-I-N, sheer pain I felt. My heart went out to Kundan. I just wanted to go and give him a hug there :P And again, the chemistry!! Eesh!

Love Legion

I watched the movie twice. I still fail to understand why most of the reviews said that second half deviated from the plot etc. Infact, I loved the second part . If first part was enjoyable and refreshing, the second half brings the intensity to the love story. The film is a narration by the character "Kundan" and Zoyz's 8 years of life is as unknown to audience as it was for Kundan. The unpredictability of the second plot therefore make so much sense. Zoya too had her own life and that's why totally contrasting plot fits perfectly. One has to see it as Kundan's story. Dhanush as Kundan was pulse of the movie. What a fab actor. Dhanush did total justice to it and Sonam is impressive too. Last scene between zoya and kundan was the most powerful scene. I just cant get enough of that scene. can watch it numerous times.

Totally overwhelmed by the depth of the characters in the movie and the title Raanjhana is so apt for the movie !!! A must watch...

That is why I'm saying that there were many layers to what Zoya felt towards Kundan...it was never love...but there were other complex emotions attached to Kundan from her side...different shades that showed up from time to time...all the things that human beings are capable of...selfishness, amusement, manipulation, affection...then later on as you very rightly pointed out...when he managed to win over her entire political party despite her having dismissed him as a gawaar all her life, she RESENTED him...lol...these are all very human emotions.

On a different note, it's not like Kundan wasn't AWARE of Zoya manipulating him...by the end especially he'd realized this much about her...but he loved her inspite of it all...inspite of the fact that he understood she'd never love him...inspite of all that there was a connection b/w them...that is why he wins the audience sympathy...it's hard not to feel bad for Kundan and resent Zoya on some level for all the mistreatment he receives at her hands.

@bold: that's it..It's about how complex all of us are..nothing is black and white..everyone has shades of grey..you, me, zoya, kundan! Till a point she might have considered it a harmless crush and thus enjoyed the attention but after he cuts his wrist for the second time, the only reason she met with him was coz she needed help! And not coz she actually cared..why did she try making up with him after..another emotion-guilt! In the break up, it's always the person who breaks up who wants to continue being friends coz they want to believe that they are not a bad person! It's complicated

Last para: yeah..Dhanush was the true Raanjhanaa..he kurbaan-ed everything for the girl he loved, only coz he loved her!:)

In fact, the second half was more of a let down for me because I thought that the whole set up of Delhi's student politics was exaggerated than what it really is. It was unrealistic for me as a Delhiite and as someone who has experienced university politics. JNU students were made to look like bunch of morons sitting around Kundan giving a communist take on why he had become a thief. Yes, Raanjhaana did manage to get the characteristics of student politics but it did not get it in full essence. Also, student politics is not as mainstream as it was shown to be.

@bold-I know it was thoda exaggerated but JNU students fancy themselves to be intellectuals+samaj sudharaks(no offense to anybody-some of my closest friends are in JNU)..Setting up a political party was after they left JNU..so it was no longer student politics..a lot of student leaders(specially from student bodies of the political parties) enter mainstream politics after!

I've studied in Delhi too..and I could totally relate to it..the kurta-kohl-jhola look..the street plays...the clean campaigns..I thought it was realistic!😳

I agree with the farmer thing..in the real world it would not have happened!

Can i say, i simply loved d film.
Much more a Dhanush show.
It was hard for me to not feel heartbreaking for kundan. The pain, the despairness, his passion for zoya, it just melst the hearts.
Sonam was brilliant too.
i was shocked to see them sharing such a beautiful chemistry.
i will give my review afterwards, after i watch d film for the 2nd time.
But i missed d last hospital scene, can ne1 plss narrate it to me, i watched up2 zoya visits kundan, and sits beside him, later d video got cut off.
