she has improved a lot...i'll give her that...but i dunt find her graceful intricate or versatile enough to be called a "Dancing queen"...and i dunt really find her the best in the current gen when therz deepika and priyanka, both of whom are better dancers IMO because they bring more grace and expressions to the table rather than just going through the motions...

i wonder which freak tagged kats as dancing queen...🤣...it must be the joke of the century...🤣

noone can steal madhuri's title when it comes to dance...the diva of bollywood...the goddess of dance...the real queen of dancing...

i agree...kats do alot of hardwork in her dance...i appreciate that but she lacks of expressions and emotions when she dances...she looks cold in her expressions or giving same kind of expressions...can someone teach her to show expressions...whether its acting or dancing same kind of expressions...

while when madhuri dances she enjoys her dance...she plays with her eyes...expressions...face...her body...her feet...her toes...the true form of dancing...the real queen of dancing...

even sridevi is a great dancer...how one can forget meri haathon mein nau nau choodiya hain...najane kahan se aayi hai...hawaa hawai...mein teri dushman...kaante nahin khate din yeh raat...mein sasural nahin jaaongi...morni bhagama...her agressive dance in lamhe and chandni...

when it comes to nagin dance...sridevi rocks the dance floor...

even juhi is a good dancer

there is a list raveena...urmila...when it comes to sexiness in dance...in form of mohra-keemat or rangeela-jaanam samjha karo

when it comes to dance its yesteryear actress of 90s...even our parents times like vyjantimala...hema malini were awesome

and the dancing queen is definitely madhuri...

kats is nowhere near...seriously i have forgotten the songs she has dance...she needs to work hard on expressions and emotions when dancing...getting right moves is fine...the most important is expressions and emotions while dancing...which lacks in kats

deepika-priyanka is way better than kats in current lots as they bring emotions and expressions in their dancing...above all they enjoy dancing which reflects on their faces when they dance to the tunes...

Their time periods are different. Madhuri is old now, her time has passed. This is Katrina's time.
For the ppl who witnessed Madhuri's era, they may declare her as the dancing queen. But, keep in mind, today's new generation may not have seen it and for them, it's Katrina as the dancing diva (if not the Queen).

One thing I'd give to Kat is that she does work very hard and has improved immensely in the dancing department, even if she is miles behind in the acting one.

There should be no comparisons between them was what I started with and still stick by!

Maybe I'm a biased Madhuri fangirl, and biased against Katrina person in general, but I think Madhuri can do what Kat does. Chikni Chameli, Madhuri could have done in her sleep and better too. SKJ with proper training and rehearsals, Madhuri could have mastered it. Same with Ishq Shava too.

Whereas the mere thought of Katrina attempting O re Piya or Madhuri's numbers in Devdas would send me into hiding.

That being said, Katrina HAS improved a lot. She is one of the few today who works hard, rehearses for a while for each song. I like that. I actually find Katrina's numbers like Madhubala much better than her item numbers, where I think she needs to calm down a bit..

I'm curious to see Deepika's dance numbers in Ram Leela too though. She is not a bad dancer and with the proper choreographers, rehearsals, she could really do a great job.

madhuri started the "item number" moves...the thumkars, the thumping, the shaking etc etc...she flagged those off...so obviously she would smack dab pull a SKJ or chikni chameli off in her sleep...

and shes pulled off western dance forms too like jazz and hip-hop/popping n locking competing with prabhu deva no less...ishq shava would be a cakewalk in comparison...

and ofcourse, therz the classical/ semi classical based numbers in devdas wherein even ash, who is an accomplished and trained dancer struggled to cope with her prowess...

im sorry but i just dunt see a "debate" as to whoz the better dancer between madhuri and katrina...like...really?

Madhuri is The Best for me in that respect.

Her chane ke khet mein...is a classic. No

Other actress could have brought to that

Dance , the sheer elegance, mischievousness,

And joie de vivre mads brought to that dance

It's also the way madhuri looked. Elfin,

Sweet, with beautiful sparkling eyes

And her image as a good girl.

Ke peechey hey kya hai and chiknis tempo

We're totally different.

Choli was slow, staccato, sensuous

Chikni was rambunctious, raunchy
