Truly ashamed...These Bwood don't really have a heart or what? Noone is asking for a chairty for her but to spend few bucks on someone who worked for her and his family is not capable enough to do the needful.

Consideing. How stara r surrounded by a labyrinth of assistants and people, I doubt it has even reached pcs ears, specially when those ears are tuned to totally other stations. I just hope if she has heard about it, she do something about it.

Every time same thing happens i have seebn very few actors coming up and helping..most of the times either actors haver noi idea what happened or they pretend not to knw..

But i guess actors shld take respp and help their assts as they gen come from poor backgrnd and live a hand to mouth existence...

Jst want this assts to be given imp like actors..atleast when such a calamity strik4es..

Even if she is reluctant to pay the 15 grand to ship the poor assistant's body back, she could surely just fly out the immediate family to the US, perform the cremation and have them return with the ashes - probably less expensive and less tedious paperwork.
She isn't very bright.

Priyanka Chopra and her office has been working on getting Jiban Patra's body back to India. A spokesperson from her office said, ''This is a very unfortunate and unexpected situation. Our deepest condolences go out to Mr. Patra's family. Our aim throughout was to ensure that Mr. Patra remains were brought back to his family at the very earliest.''

The reason stated by Chopra's office is that an NOC was needed from the family only after which the hospital and police authorities would release Patra's body.

The spokesperson adds,'' Owing to the situation that this occurred in a foreign country, where no family member was present, there was multiple levels of paperwork and processes that had to be followed to ensure that the matter was handled effectively and in a timely manner. Owing to some delays in paperwork from the family's end, the repatriation of the body was delayed.''

Chopra also delayed her return to India to ensure that the everything was in place for Patra's remains to be repatriated to India. The spokesperson added,''We have been in constant touch with the family to keep them updated on the matter. All details and financial requirements related to the repatriation was and is being handled directly by Ms. Chopra and her team in LA. We are making all efforts to ensure his family's needs are taken care of at this unfortunate time.''

The actor is looking at helping the family including take care of education of his children.

Patra has been freelancing with various actors like Priyanka Chopra, Tabu and Aishwarya Rai for some time now.

lolz, so no takers and comments on the latest article?

just prove how we like to thrash people rather than getting the full story.

I dont buy the fisrt story nor the latter article as the 100% truth, but the delay can be mostly happened due to paper work.

Ofcourse Pc's Pr had to do something for the damage control, whatever shes doing is aint fast enough poor guys dead body is still in U.S for a week now! And US has already cleared all the paperwork issues this is clearly not PC or her teams first priority hence the delay.
