i didnt really mind the OTT cliche-ness of the film coz it was inherent in the genre...clearly karan wasnt making a film which could change lives or even use mild logic...he was making fluff...or rather FLUFFF...

and for the mindless harmless fluff genre...i think K3G works pretty well..

is any family like tht? no..

do we all travel by helicopters and live in scottish palaces? no...

do we wear manish malhotra? no...

do we join an MBA university for timepass as we try to unite estranged brother to his father? no...

do we wear glittery bras to proms? no...

but can i watch this all in a movie? yes...😆...

mindless crap can be entertaining too...as long as the director has enough conviction to handle all tht cheese...

kjo is never abt logic, or sense anyway...hes all abt loving the fluff...n the cheese and the corn...

i seriously dunt mind this film...

the only kind of "fluffy romantic" movies i detest is the wannabe holly ones, or the really really pretentious "im so cool n hep..." ones which look like clones of an american sitcom.. (IHLS, BKB, AA, EMAET, ZNMD)...

What is AA? The other films coincidentally are mostly Imran Khan films.

i like imran but i HATE such kind of pretentious slow paced, hollywood romcom/ american sitcom wannabe kinda movies...

Pooh's character was very entertaining.. loved her to the bits, SRK looked cute and loved some funny scenes between Kajol and SRK during the first half. 😆

All over I liked the movie 😳

What a coincidence that I watched it too last night at 2.30am, lol. I toh just watched for SRK-Kajol scenes so I forwarded a lot. I just like Srk-Kajol together in this movie a lot.. that's about itt.

there goes the difference.

if u watch this movie at these times, u will find it crap.

but in 2001, it was something for everyone.

personally it was an okay movie not a great one.

Yes...that too..but larger than life movies..r also good na sometimes...and K3G s main msg is valuing ur family..love for ur family...so whts wrong in that... 😊

Still so much better than "Black" or "My Name is Khan" or all those pseudo-powerful films.

And considering that Silver Linings Playbook received such rave reviews and has been nominated for Oscar, I wouldn't really say that only Bollywood is filled with turds and nominate all the wrong movies for awards.
