His songs like Aa Aa ee, Meri Pant Bhi Sexy, Teri Nani Mari toh mein kya karu etc were panned badly...n his sarkailo khatiya was never aired on TV for long coz of its objectionable contents and there were BIG debates abt how censor is allowing such songs...

I dont understand what sharmila is trying to say by quoting Govinda n saying he was appreciated!! Auntyji sathiya gayi hai !!!😆😆

Its now ,..when cinema has got much more crappy taht ppl realise that govinda was better to have than these munni n sheilas!😉😉

I believe the basis of this was to draw a parallel with the horrendous Delhi rape-murder case.

The perpetrators were the proverbial 'Rickshaw' crowd (no offense to decent Rickshaw drivers) - uneducated, uncouth, boorish, completely patriarchal, chauvinistic, and considering women just playthings.

Since Govinda, Salman Khan's 'Dabangg', Rowdy Rathore etc. appear to make more of an impression on that crowd, they take those ideas home and implement them in their lives... to the everlasting misfortune of the victims around them.

That is not to say educated masses are not impressionable, as well... plenty of MPs/MLAs sons come to mind... but there too, its a lot of influence of home environment, power plays, patriarchal attitudes that are passed on generation to generation, etc.

So, as a whole, unless education is stressed, and strong laws are passed, and ENFORCED, this problem will remain endemic.

I am all for equality but come on, seriously? Men can easily walk around without any shirt on while women can't.. it's a fact which people need to get through their heads here. There ARE differences! And acknowledging them doesn't make a person a "sexist" 🥱

why would Gobinda dance steps be condemned? they are not that filthy as ur daughter in law karina's . whenever i watch her Fevicol song on tv , it makes me feel embarrassed.
