DDL gave the best speech according to me ⭐️
The Oscars last night were delightful. My only complaint was that it went too long and past my bed time. Usually, I get bored somewhat through but Seth McFarlane was hilarious and they kept the humor throughout. I enjoyed "We saw your boobs" and the "Loser Song". There were plenty of one liners and Hollywood jokes throughout that made me chuckle. I also loved seeing Michelle Obama. I think some people get irritated with her being everywhere. But I enjoy the Obama family, and I think Michelle is a great first lady. She really tries to be involved with stuff Americans do and she has a wicked sense of humor. C'mon did anyone see her "mom dancing" on Jimmy Fallon. Hilary 2016. Michelle 2020. I say. Word.
I am so glad Jennifer Lawrence won the best actress award. I know perhaps Jessica Chastain deserved it for Zero Dark Thirty. I've been told even Naomi Watts was brilliant in The Impossible. But I'm a huge Jennifer Lawrence fan girl. My first JLa movie was X-Men: First Class. I didn't think anyone could pull of young Mystique, but she blew me away. She made Mystique seem so endearing and vulnerable. It made me completely feel for the mutant problem. Now whenever I see X-Men, I find myself rooting for the bad guys Magneto and Mystique. Then she thrilled me as bad ass Katniss Everdeen. Jennifer could have been a sell out. She could have focused only on commercial success and minted money. But she sought something different. To play a mentally unstable widow after these roles is a huge change. And young stars deserve the recognition and acknowledgement that they can be commercial and critical successes.
Are you listening K.Stew? I can't believe you sold out. Considering you did Panic Room and Speak, you should have been holding that Golden Statue by now. Maybe even two. But you stopped acting and became the listless expressionless Bella Swan. Will you ever stop catering to Twihards and become an actress again – you know the kind you were once upon a time, the kind who could speak volumes and carry a story only through a range of expressions?
