I think any celebrity who has an excessive number of fanatics is misunderstood. Fans are good, but when they turn into blind, obsessive, crazy, swarming fanatics who have no life but to defend their celebrity and battle every itty bitty criticism then it spells trouble for the celebrity. They unnecessary put a mortal celebrity on a God like pedestal automatically irritating most sane human beings into being haters and bashers.
Salman for example is just human. Overall I think he's a good guy. Like many other stupid humans out there he does something really stupid like getting drunk and driving, running someone over. It's a horrendous crime to take a life. But there are thousands of ordinary people every year who do so by being stupid โ like drunk driving, doing a dangerous dare, playing with guns etc. That doesn't make them bad people. They are just humans who make mistakes. But they bear the guilt and consequences of it. Unfortunately, since Salman fanatics don't want him to bear the guilt and consequence which is the right of all humans who make mistakes โ matters get worse. Overall I think he is quite charitable and tries to do a lot of good things with sincerity. But as long as he has blind fanatics, his goodness will always be overshadowed by their obsessive need to cover his mistakes.
As Marc Anthony quotes in Shakespeares famous play "The evil that men do lives after them; The good is oft interred with their bones"
