Salman did some of the best acting in films like Karan Arjun etc...However it has to be agreed that he is not a great actor or anything...he has his limitations and these days he has completely forgotten acting and playing himself in every movie for whatever reasons...

He doesn't need to do Barfi, He is so cute as Chulbul pandey... they better do what they are good at.

Salman is a mass star. He can be compared to other mass actors like Rajnikanth.Akshay, Ajay, Sunny, AB, Dharmendra.

Ranbir is a multiplex hero. More in the line of Aamir, SRK, Rajesh Khanna, Dilip Kumar.

The Mass stars can never do what the multiplex actors can and vice versa. Two completely different genre's of acting.
