can someone tell me the actual budget of special 26 ?

its a low budget movie for sure ... Akshay also charged less bcz he didn't want to put pressure on the budget and one site was saying its a 50 cr movie ... neeraj will never make a 50 cr movie 😆

50cr for sure!!!!

charged less matlab he didnt charged 5-6crs?? if he can charge 20-25cr for a big film he would charge atleast 10-12crs!!!

promotions and prints can add up to 10cr!!!

jthj didnt have the great srks fees which which was around 20-25cr in todays market srk shared the profit!!!

Special 26 First Day Early Trends. Picks up.

Special 26 is picking up everywhere all India after a slow start in the Morning shows. Special 26 started slowly in Morning registering 25-30% occupancy at the box office. After that it is picking up steadily with each passing shows. Evening Shows are experiencing 50% occupancy all India. Occupancy should be same or more for the Night shows also. Overall first day occupancy of Special 26 should be around 40% on average.

Special 26 collections till the last report filled is just decent. Considering an Akshay Kumar starrer it was expected even better opening. Nevertheless occupancy is picking up and hope that the film ends the day well with a decent figure.

Audience feedback is positive for the film and let's see whether it can transform in box office figure or not. Generally when word of mouth is good for the film it shows jump over the weekend. In Special 26 case, now Saturday and Sunday collections are ecevn more important to check the early trend of the film.

Special 26 is releasing in around 1600 screens all India and as per early trend it is heading for 7+ crore nett mark first day. If night shows perform well enough even 8-9 crore nett or more is achievable.

SPECIAL CHABBIS Fights Back Later In the Day

"Special Chabbis" is an interesting case at box office. Film had everything going its way - a big star, an accomplished director and stellar cast and good promotion but film failed to take a flying start at box office.

Film is a great example of that star is not but genre is the king. Akshay creates havoc in masala films but different off beat film struggles starring Kumar. Though that is not a complete story.

Film started slowly in the morning and media was going beserk about other release dominating Akshay starrer. But that was bit extreme. Film started improving with every passing show as word of mouth coupled with good reveiws started showing effect.

For example, film improved in Mumbai from 35% to 60% by the evning shows and film will post good day one total but yes it is below expectations. Film's fortune will be decided tomorrow as film has to register a jump of 30% at least in order to justify star cast and budget.

As per early estimates, film should collect 6.50 cr nett on day one and now at least 25 cr nett weekend is the target for the film. Anything less than that will spelldoom.

"ABCD" Scores On Day One

"ABCD" started day with surprising domination over its tough competitor "Special 26". "ABCD" was strong in metros and the biggest surprise was Mumbai and South where film performed despite being non starrer.

Film was average in CI, CP and West Bengal but elsewhere it kept improving over the day. But film did not grow in evening shows as per expectations and tomorrow will be crucial for the film in order to pack a punch.

Film will face pressure from "Special 26" as the other one has got good reviews and word of mouth will start showing affect from tomorrow onwards. Still film should score big over the weekend considering smaller release and non starrer.

As per early estimates, film should collect 5.75 cr nett on Friday and this collection can vary depending upon occupancy in night shows by 10-15%. This again proves a point that content is the king not the stardom.

Special Chabbis Strong In Evening ABCD Drops

Special Chabbis came into its own in the shows after 6pm recording good collections while it was the opposite for ABCD which went down. Special Chabbis recorded 50-60% collections in the evening where as it started at 30-35%.

ABCD went the other way as it started at 50-60% but was down to 30% in the evening. The film just flattered to deceive and the dropping collections means negative reports. Both films have similar occupancies of around 40% for the day but with Special Chabbis having the wider release it should comfortably collect more which did not look the case in the morning.

The trend ensures the weekend will belong to Special Chabbis but it has a lot of work to do cover its big price. ABCD will still get a decent first day for such a film due to initial but its unlikley to go anywhere.
