I personally loved the album. I hated it at first and was majorly disappointed but the songs grew on me, but yes it took it's own time. Now, the JTHJ album is all that I listen to. I love every single song. And I think it's been liked by many as well cuz I heard many kids here singing Jiya Re and Challa.

This is the first time am hearing ARR give excuses..so am not sure how to react😕 JTHJ songs were good no doubt but no where close to his standard...The guy was absolutely brilliant in the 90s..each and every album of his was a gem..of late, its become mediocre..and i beg to differ with people who say Rockstar songs were average..Rehman kills it with that instrumental piece called Dichotomy of Fame..thats sheer musical genius..btw, those who think JTHJ is ARR at his best should listen to the songs of Kadal, ARR's latest with Mani Ratnam..Now thats the Rehman we are used to

a r rahman is a genius. I have always founds his albums down south much better and more catchy. no one can forget roja, may madham, iruvar, duet, kadhalan, alaipayuthe, gentleman, vinnaithandi varuvaaya and many more.
in bollywood, i just liked taal, guru and yuva.
still he is the best with the use of musical instruments and the introduction of new talent every single time

I was disappointed. But Ishq Shava was pretty good. Jiya Re is slowly catching on but still not his best. Still have Taal, Bombay, Guru tracks on my iPod...great memories
