AR Rahman on y the music of JTHJ wasn't his best - Page 25

I don't think I've liked any of his albums since Taal.

I quite enjoyed the music in JTHJ.

I personally loved the album. I hated it at first and was majorly disappointed but the songs grew on me, but yes it took it's own time. Now, the JTHJ album is all that I listen to. I love every single song. And I think it's been liked by many as well cuz I heard many kids here singing Jiya Re and Challa.

I am kind of tired of 'it will grow' phrase used for Rahman's music. It has begun to seem like an excuse. It's as if you make effort or force yourself to like the music or take to it just because it is Rahman!

Compare to songs of Roja or Rangeela or recently, Masti ki paathshaala from RDB and see the difference. His songs used to be striking earlier and make you sit up and take notice. That hasn't really been happening of late and as listeners we're just expected to keep giving it a try so that it grows on us!

Most music is good and pretty bearable, and can grow on you if you are interested in liking it or listen to it enough.

I have read the interview again and nowhere does he mention that JTHJ songs are not good
