I don't mind it when she speaks her own accent because it just sounds natural.

But I have noticed that when she specifically speaking to an Indian audience (say a reporter), she tries to adopt an Indian accent. She tries to make her accent thicker there. I noticed that in a JTHJ video that was posted here last week...it did not sound completely western at all.

What a stereotypical exaggerated example.

People who really have any knack at accents will show their skill by attempting an Indian accent that is not this stereotypical exaggerated version.

I don't agree with making fun of Katrina's natural accent. But that's no excuse to go ahead and knock Indian accents--which by the way, there is no one Indian accent.

And I'm sure others have replied as well. I haven't gone through the pages yet, but I was prompted to reply as soon as I saw this post.

Besides, I don't even have a problem with Kat's accent as long as her learns how to speak hindi. She can speak hindi with her whatever accent but at least learn the language!

Nothing wrong in having any kind of accent...my problem would be someone trying to play a Delhi girl with a Southindian accent...that doesn't add up...i am sure the same happens when the Hindi speaking girls go and work in the South Indian movies...they must be having that North Indian accent...which the audience must be finding difficult to digest if for instance the character is from a TN village...it works both ways...I have no problem with anyone having an accent...my problem is not getting my money's worth when I go to watch a movie...simple...

Exactly...I mean u wouldn't want to watch a Sardarji with a Southern accent...or a Southerner with a Punjabi accent...To play the role convincingly the proper accent is important...and yes Kat will have to improve her accent more if she wants to do more diverse roles...

Do you speak some regional language?

You were not bred in England?

If you answered yes to either or both then automatically you are going to have an accent.

her accent has gone more Indian now, I have noticed it, it had gotten tad Indian
