the point about accents not changing is untrue. I moved to Canada from India in my teens and now I have a weird accent - i pronounce things differently! It is more Canadian than Indian. But, I hate people stereotyping Indian accent--I have never come across a person who sounds like Appu(Simpsons) and the accent is not even done by an Indian guy 😡. I read somewhere that Naseerudin Shah refused a part in Hollywood movie because the director wanted to speak with an "Indian" accent

exactly! Accents can change!
